"It's Spring," Clem says "So... ready?"

CC takes a breath "I suppose as I'll ever be."

She looks to Emerson with a penetrating probing gaze, "Darling, if this goes wrong. Do not blame Clem"

"I don't think that will be an issue, Dearest." he glances at Caesar "Chief, there is -one- additional issue."

Caesar nods

"Speak on, Mister Stodgepoole" She says

"There will be two going on this little journey, please."

"Are you bonkers?" CC bursts out "Who will run the club? Who will keep it going???"

"I will," Caesar says "This is my chance for a corporate take over" he says

Emerson nods in perfect agreement.

"You are both SO annoying" CC says

Clem looks amused "I think it's sweet"

"You are a saint for putting up with us." he agrees "Two please."

"Absolutetly no..." turns to chattering as CC collapses into her new form... it really doesn't seems so bad, as there's Emerson as well

both look at the giant peoples

"Wow, they're small" Caesar says

"Right they are, " Clem says and puts each in the case to carry them "Let's get them in their tunnels"

"so pisssed at you" the queen naked mole chatters

Of course, only another naked mole rat can understand

He trundles over and curls around her. "Yes, my queen." He smiles in NMR.

she huffs tempted to pull away, but they're being moved in heir crate. And just like that, they're lead to soft warmer earth, dark and rich, the tunnels smell of troll but that's a small price to pay

And, not the first time he's been in a tunnel that smelled of troll.

"Well" the queen says "let's behave ourselves"

He takes point, some instinct insisting he explore and ensure colony safety and the security of the queen.

"I imagine there's a limit to the mischief we could get into, Dearest."

She lets him, but digs at the tunnels prepared to make them a bit more natural in some parts "Well, it's no Five Stars, but it will do. "

"Mm." together they explore and make adjustments to suit them. It's not as big a space as a -real- colony would need but it's warm enough and hopefully the limited time being a NMR will keep the need for a colony at bay.

It seems to be so. There appear to be some tubers down here already

"I'm going to get fat" CC complains

"Deliciously ripe." he rephrases.

"These smell good.... try one?" he offers her first choice.

She sniffs daintily, on section, then another. then she seems to find a spot and sinks her teeth into it

And shew chews "Darling? I think the DeBukes actually got these tuberrs from East Africa! "

It's possible Emerson might have helped them do so, he has contacts

"How thoughtful of them. We really must do something for them on our return." he takes a sample himself; yep. good quality.

"Agreed" She munches soothing "I can't believe Caesarr and you conspired agianst me."

"Conspired has such overtones, Dearest. We worked together towards a common goal; isn't that what you want us to do?"

"Mmmph" She says "Going to nip you yet... and give him a talking to. What about the entertainment? the ffood at the Club?"

All is, of course, arranged. CC herself made a list of talent to call in temporarily

"You yourself settled the talent list, and I spoke with the staff to ensure they understood your expectations." he soothes, sniffling along her skin "And Caesar will keep an eye on the place, make decisions if any are needed."

"I suppose" she mmms

"All will be well, Dearest. How do you feel?"

"worried for the club but oddly with more energy than i had in a week"

"Excellent. That's a good sign, I think."

"I agree. " She says "mmm wonder how the accoustics are in these tunnels"

He nuzzles her as he says "Why don't you find out?"

"You smell amazing." he murmurs.

She bumps against him. "You're just taking advantage of being the only male here" but she's pleased and begins to sing

It's odd to human ears, weird noises to be sure- but here , to his ears, it translates wondefully
