"Good God," CC says under her breath as the ARMY of DeBuke folk take various tables that are set up Thanksgiving

But there is Caesar "hey, the Corralos table is over here" He grins

"Will you tell him?" Emerson murmurs as he walks over with CC.

The idea of telling the DeBukes is not a thing.

"Not yet," She whispers, "Maybe not for some time. Let's nnot dim the moment"

She does smile as she sees all her grandchildren approaching a year old

"Of course." with deep understanding "Nothing is certain yet, anyway." And then he is quiet as he fades from her awareness on the approach of the grandchildren. He doesn't mind.

"Oh they're just gorgeous, I haven' seen any of them in..."

"Five days mom," Caesar looks amused

"Well, yes," She says "But that was forever ago."
April grins "Oh Caesar, your mom is a vital part of their lives. "

CC 's eyes grow sad for a second, but only Emerson notices it.

"Dearest, would you care for a glass of cider? Or something stronger?"

"We have wine," June says "White if tthat's good?"

"White Wine would be lovely" CC says cooing the kids one by one, "Thank you both"

"Will you show me where, June Mae?" he says with a twinkle.

A blush "Yes, of course"

He offers his arm and they go off together to get drinks.... which, coincidentally, leaves CC in possession of several infants.

Oh no, the Briar patch of children

The short shadow of CC makes charming small talk with June.

Itt seems June is more accepting of him before. Then again, her own Samhain humbledh er

".... to see you looking so wonderful, my dear. Life seems to be treating you well?"

"Yees, quite nice.. the farm is.. a bit routine but that's ggood for the childre"

"Being something of a homebody myself, I agree."

"I only caught a glimpse, how -are- they?"

"Oh sometimes I'm powerful glad only two are mine . Cooper is all about putting things together that is making a mess... Theodora is a lot less messy"

A slight smile. "She must have her own... talents?"

"Oh yes. Sometimes she ends up with things I don't know how."

"Oh?"

"Oh yes. My shoes mostly. Once she worried me about car keys"

"Oh, I've noticed little ones love those jingly things."

"I found some substitutes"

"She has this one toy CC gave her she loves..."

"Oh, I'm sure she would love to hear that!" he smiles "It might bring tears to her eyes."

"Oh well..."

CC comes over finnally and takes the wine "Oh they're all so nummy I could eat them up"

"Terribly sorry, Dearest, we got to talking."

"As you should.. we don' see June near enough"

"Are you sure you won't come to the city and visit? Bring the children or don't; we'd love to host you."

"Well... " June says "I suppose I should let them get used to i, though at this agge they probably don't notice"

"I'm sure they'll be aware of your special absence, but know also they are surrounded by love."

"I need to think about it but.. maybe."

"Let's sit down " CC says "This food looks gorgeous"

He offers an arm to each lady and leads them to the table.

The meal is glorious, plenty of ...well, everything at each table, and Caesar's area is no exception. They did have to get some special chairs for those of shorter stature.. but at least it's not booster seats.

Turkey, Ham, squash in several varities...

And those of shorter stature are accustomed to such, and unoffended.
