Adam stands on the basketball court at the Farm, dribbling slowly and thoughtfully.

Did he invite anyone to join him? Or is he alone?

(No invites, but not throwing rocks to keep people away either.)

(Friends know where he is.)

For now he seems to have it to himself. But that could change

He does a few easy shots. It's cold, he's bundled up, not really looking for a work out. He'll do that at home.

"Getting back into the game?" A familiar female voice. A lady Eshu he knows well

He looks. (Alanza?)

Yup! Alanza is sipping a hot drink

He grins. "Hey, beautiful." He tucks the ball under his arm and ambles over.

If she will accept it, a cold-nosed cheek-kiss.

She does then smiles "I hear you found a lost girl and she turned out to have changed. Another Rusalka?"

"Yup!" he bounces the ball twice "Sasha. She was kinain. You know her?"

"Not well no, met her once" A nod

He nods. Bounce. "Anyway. Left her with the Mountain."

"That's for the best but I am trying to learn more. Got to get the stories you know?" A smile "Want a sip of my hot cocoa?"

"Beautiful, you know I've been asking for that for months now." he grins, but takes the cup for a taste. "Mmmmm....." a warm, chocolate-scented kiss in return for it.

SHe returns it 'mm huh... you just want to put your marshmellow in my cup"

"Yes, yes I do." he agrees easily.

"Although.... marshmellow? Ow."

A giggle "Your ego will survive"

"On -lifesupport-."

But he is grinning.

An elbow jab "You're a funny guy.. not as funny as you THINK you are, but funny"

"Thanks." bounce-bounce "I see Sasha, I'll ask if she wants to meet you if you want."

"Did you meet Veronica?"

"I did...but Miss Zara's awful protective of her"

"Yeah. I get the feeling she cares a lot about people. You know, some people."

"Well, she's not holding my hand either. Don' take it as a dig"

"Nah, not a dig. It's cool."

"I mean, she's -smart- and she lent me some books and stuff."

"oh yeah, she's always willing to find the right book for the right person"

"Yeah." He sounds kind of.... fond?

"You like her? Huh. I'm surprised. No that she's a terrible person, but I didn't think you two would have anything in common"

A shrug. "Maybe we don't. But she seems like good people and like you said... she, like, knows how to help people. Even if some of the books she gave me were hard."

"Oh I bet you handled them, you're smart enough to be attracted to me" A smile

Adam laughs softly. "I didn't finish -all- of them. Like I said, some of them were -hard-. Like, old poetry and stuff."

"Oh a lot of great stories are old poetry and stuff. Maybe you'd like it better if it were jazzed up with modern lingo"

"Might make it easier to read." he agrees.

"Bring one of the books giving you trouble by latter. I'll see what I can do"

"I gave them back." he apologizes "Can I come by later anyway?"

"Yeah, sure" She shrugs

"Anything you want to do? Or for me to bring?" a teasing grin.

"oh, I already kknow what we're going to do. I'm going to take some old stories and jazz them up"

"So I should bring coffee?' a wicked grin, teasing.

"Why not. Moca latte for me"

"Yes, yes you are." he agrees.

A laugh "Enjoy your basketball see you tonight"

"Aww..... ok." he gives her another kiss and lets her go somewhat reluctantly.

And goes on to his next class.
