"I have a sister." he says quietly "I'd do anything if she needed me. So. You let me know."

"That squash .... is that creepy, or just me."

"Thanks man, I can't believe he let me through" He glances back at the squash "Shit, it's not just you. This farm is bonkers sometimes"

They make their way to the stream. There are foot prints here in the soft ground and leaves, troll sized

Adam looks at the prints; he's been working with the dogs, learning how they track.

"Ok, so.... troll. No surprise."

"Guess they were looking for her" He says bending down "Guess they're not lying about that. Not that trolls lie. As a rule they're pretty honest. Just.. tight lipped"

Adam can see some areas where tall folks would have to stoop a lot to get under the branches. Of all the places that might have been the hardest for the trolls to explore

Adam goes to look under/down there.

They move further down the stream where the trees get thicker, the branches lower

Adam follows, hunching along.

He looks for signs of someone/something smaller moving along this area.

And he senses...something in the water!

He looks stream-ward.

There's glamour there... and a shirt..floating

"Shit." He grabs at it, ready for weight.

And he does.. yanking it up

"Shit, that's Sasha's favorite shirt"

"Man.... yeah?" Adam hops into the stream, seeking the girl. "Fuck."

Trask is already doing so

The stream is freezing...

Adam hisses but stays in it. He seeks along the banks and the hidden places.

Suck it up, tough it out! Adam shivers and moves along

Trask's teeth chatter but he manages "She's got to be okay..she's got to be..."

then a voice says "Get out of the water, you'll freeze"

But the voice comes from the water.

"Need to find Sasha....." Adam mutters back.

"I am Sasha" Says the corpse under the water covering her bare torso with a rock

well behind a rock

Adam trembles with cold, shivering. "Huh?"

"Sasha?" Trask says turning "Oh god you're dead."

The girl lifts her face out of the water, and her ghostly shimmer ends as she is no longer fully submerged "I'm not dead. I just lost my shirt"

"Fuck....sluagh? No, not sluagh." He corrects. "What are you?" Adam reaches up and grabs her shirt, offering it to her.

she did look like a corpse a moment ago, and she certainly seems pale, even now, she snatches the shirt "This is SO embarrasing..." And turns and covers up

Adam looks away, allowing her what he can of privacy.

"Sis, what ..he's right, what are you?"

"I don't KNOW" the girl says sounding a bit spooked "Trask, I don't know."

"Hey, hey......"Adam tries to calm "S'ok. You want to go talk to the Mountain?"

Her shirt now on, the younger girl flings herself to her brother who she hugs

"It's okay," Trask says

"Ok, ok......." Adam shivers. "Ok so.... what now?"

"You two should..should get out of the water. It doesn't bother me so much, but you're both turning blue" Sasha says then looks at Adam "And.. uhm thank you again for helping my brother"

"I can't believe the DeBukes couldn't find you" Trask says, but he is moving with her towards the shore

"I hid from them" she says

"What? Why?" he asks

"My shirt came off, DUH" Irritated sister voice

Adam wades shore-ward. "Welcome.... but wait, you hid from the DeBukes? Like.... the Mountain?"

"I didn't have a shirt" She says

And sounds like she's worried both boys are profoundly stupid

She herself is younger than Adam, she's 13 or 14 tops, and blushing
