"Lovely I..w ait, why isn't Earl here with you?" Clem looks about "I mean, he can get here in a finger snap now adays"

"he's ah.. WITH his lady" Caspian says

"Well, of course," Clem says "Zara was on the mission with him... she was so crazy about the library I...."

"they mostly read on the trip" Caspian continues.

"That was the purpose" Clem goes on.

"And now, reading is done" Caspian explains.

"SO you'd think he'd have time...." Clem says "So why isn't he here again?"

"The spine he is running his fingers up has no pages attached to it" Caspian says, "Better?"

"Wait the.." then a light swat, "Don't go talking about Zara's personal life like that, it's rude"

"You insisted!" Caspian says.

"Not the point" Clem insists "She's not here to hiss at you so I kind of had to swat you"

"That's how it works??" the eshu stares at her in disbelief

"She's a Friend" Clem explains.

"I'm a cousin!" He counters.

She scoffs "I've got lots of those"

"Point" He admits. "Anyway, I thought I'd report to you. May I camp out here for a bit? or do you want to swat me around some more?"

"Can't we have both?" Clem says then "Of course. If you want to spend time by the balefire."

"Well, I maybe returning. August I think wants some sort of party or thing later. Not now, of course, he and Coradel are.."

"'not reading'" Clem says "I get it."

The Eshu smiles, "Lots of lovely ladies at the hold. Maybe I'll go there to try for a bit of light 'not reading' myself"

"Don't want to hear about it" Clem says "Work to do. Thanks for letting me know they returned safely" And she grabs a hoe and goes back to work
