"Well, with that, you two co--conspirators have settled one thing for me" Clem puts on a too large smile.

"When I have children, IF I have children... I have decided only to have boys. They have GOT to be easier to manage" She declares.

Siv laughs

Sylvi also laughs. "Not sure you get a whole lot of say in the matter, when it comes to that."

"RIght of demense, I'll order it be so " Clem says with a too straight face.

"Yeah, good luck with that, Chieftain."

"You two are entirely too cheeky for words" Clem says "As it stands I..."

A figure approaches, bold, brassy, and every inch a warrior, Cadman, son of the Worldshield, comes forward carrying a bag the size of a large goat

"Beautiful one," He declares, "I Have tribute!"

Siv says to SYlvi "He means Clem,, not you. Just in case you need be told" Cousins are ego checks

CLem blushes "Cadman, this is not the .not the time."

"Really? You keep setting challenges for me, Clementine." Cadman says "And I keep meeting them. If you want to banish me from your presence, do, but if you keep sending me on quests, I'm going to keep at this until you finally admit that you're impressed."

Sylvi sticks her tongue out at Siv.

"Oh, it's totally the time!" Sylvi pipes up and gives a cheerful wave. "Don't mind us!"

Clem shoots Sylvi a look.

Utterly innocent blinks.

Siv tries VERY Hard to keep a straight face.

....okay, maybe not utterly innocent.

Perhaps not even plausibly innocent.

"What poor creature did you behead this time?" Clem snorts and moves to the bag "Farmgirls aren't squeamish, but I don't see how the gory severed head of something is going to get me in the mood for..." She opens the bag

And a baby griffin peeps out, pure Chimera, of course.. It's.. adorable.

And has a pink bow around it.

"I...." Clem blinks "It's.. where did ..."

"Awwwwww!" Sylvi can't help it.

Then she puts up a hand. "Sorry! Sorry, my fault, don't mind me! That's totes adorbs, but don't mind me!"

"eeep rrrr.." it says

"I'm Gonna Squee" Siv says

"Right?!"

The little creature nuzzles it's feathered head against Clem, and without thinking about it, she starts to pet, "Cadman, this is... this is not a farm animal, it's..." She pets the chimera some more "Got not place..." It can't fly yet, but clambers all over her

"Uh huh, well, poor thing was a mess when I found it. I suspect it got nearly eaten. She is all alone, and has no one," Cadman says "And I thought to myself... you are a woman who thrills not in death, but life. And what better suited than a young chimera like this?"

"She's a carnivore," Clem says, but begins to skritch it like one might a cat. Which the little thing loves "If she grows up she might eat the darn horses. "

Lanark SNORTS.

"Okay, it might it some of the horses" SHe says

Sylvi pets Lanark's neck. "Lanark won't let it. Is it a she or a he...or a...ze?"

"A she.." Clem says without thinking.

"And trainable. Teach her to hunt, or give it scraps," Cadman says

Sylvi smiles and gives Siv the she's a goner look.

Siv gives a smile back and shrug in a sort of Who wouldn't be?

Clem says "I.. you know, nature has its way I..." She seems indecisive.

True! Sylvi nods.

"I understand," Cadman says "I did not mean to bring you a burden. And to release it into the wild this young would be her death. Best to kill here her clean. " He draws his axe, "Hold still, Miss Pussycat"

Clem whips the griffon behind her back, "DON'T YOU DARE!" Hand out stretched. She FORBIDS it!

Sylvi gasps...then claps a hand over her mouth to stifle a giggle as she realizes what Cadman just did.

Then clem pauses, "Wait, you named her Miss Pussycat?"

"Well, yes, you told me that was one of your favorite characters from that mortal dreamer's show... Mr. Dodgers neighborhood of imagination?"

"ROGERS and... I was a childling and..." Clem gapes at him, then looks at the little griff who cocks her head adorably.

Siv looks to Sylvi "I thought Mr. Rogers was captain America" a whisper

A shrug. "Maybe it's an old-folks thing?" she says just loud enough for Clem to hear.
