Then a nod "YOU did not. It's done. Don't let him own too much of you in death when he failed to own you in life." Gentle firm.

"I... Klay did little to me directly. I think, mayhaps, Vashti has a claim."

"Sorry, Claim is ours" Clem says "For you, Zara. I bend. But while Vashti has been an interesting guest... my people have a right to see this fellow dealt with. The real question is.. will we allow him to become one of us in his new life"

Earl gapes "What?"

"And I thank you for not torturing him. Aye."

Emmit looks at Earl "If we kill him here, his soul may linger around, be reborn here. Da'an has its ways. But I can beseech the Da'an, and deny his soul peace here, and it will be reborn elsewhere. OR... I can place a fate upon him that will definitely have him born here, at least, his fae side... perhaps years from now, perhaps decades. And I can put a proviso on it.. like 'and he shall be a great enemy to the Balor'"

Clem sighs " APparenlty asking for a 'and he shall be loyal to DeBuke ways' was considered too much for some reason."

"It's asking for trouble to be that selfish with it, Clem, " Emmit says "Zara might tell you why"

She nods. "One does not pull on da'an lightly. I think I must needs put my own casting on hold for some time..."

"Impressive but quite heavy" Agnes says "Emmit, I thought you said she had a subtle touch?"

"She does, but the build up, not just of Zara's just due but all the others he wronged? mmmph she could have put a finger hole through it and it still might have let rage's river ride"
