Earl almost gets tackled by Clem as he comes out, and Zara and the other see the troll Chieftain acting most untrollish in her greeting "Oh thank Freya I thought you might be dead"

Earl groans "This is so humiliating after a victorious return"

Zara... quietly... plunks down on the grass, arms still full of purloined books and papers.

"Oh don't be a baby" Clem states, then turns to see Zara... and Zara gets picked up from her papers, whilred about andd HUGGED "And you're alive too"

Vashti looks at Shalimar "She may hug thee, but thou art not allowed to enjoy it"

Shalimar nods somberly

"..ah..." blink.

"...he is slain."

"And you're both alive, that's the improtant part and... " She glances over to see the skunk "Oh dear. This the fellow you've been pining for all this time ,Vashti?"

"The pair of them are a veritable evergreen forest..."

Vashti blushes and looks moritifed "Trolls'

Shalimar sighs "Aye, no da corums, no ma corrums easily... in fact it's safe to say they've pretty much rendered corums extinct"

"Well la de dah," Clem says "Forgive me" she sets Zara down with one more squeeze, 'If I couldn't help but notice a certain moth pooka SIGHING everytime the word missouri , skunk, or fool came up"

Shalimar looks at her a WEE bit smug, but says nothing.

Zara wipes her hands on her leggings again. "..Aye. Aye."

"Klay - is he here? Dead already?"

"Not dead" Clem says "It's not as simple as an execution... though he says you insited on no torture. Which I assume is right as it suits you"

Vashti turns "Klay must be made an echo" a bit of heat and hate

She rubs her forehead and nods. "No torture. No. Too much of that has already happened."

"I... Golnaz, too, is dead. Golnaz and Paler." An abstract frown, her whisper oddly dispassionate - not happy, not sad.

"Athanliel..the gloves.." Vasthi tries to speak

"I did not see him in the mess. Does he live?"

Earl is getting them "Got it"

"I... where would I place a selkie?"

"I want Uncle Emmit to take a look at.. oh god. I have to call Rivervale" Earl says

Clem says "Why?"

"The mortal.. I forgot.. I couldn't send her back to the autumn world so I put her in the safest part of the near dreaming I could think of, near Olgar's patrols. She still might be out there"

"Me too" earl says reaching for his phone

Clem says "Wait, soemone put a mortal in the Dreaming?"

"yeah, Karen. I think she was in August's study group" earl says "Oh that's where I saw her. "

"It is an abomination. She might not be able to be healed..."

"Though if she made it out of the Dreaming, that is a mercy. Likely Dreamstruck, at best."

"August will blame himself for this... it's not his fault, but he will you know it" earl frowns "Stubbron Liam"

Clem says "We've dealt with dreamstruck, but not directly in the trods"

She squeezes her eyes shut.

Vashti says "I take it it matters to Sir August that this girl not be? " She plays with ehr bottom lip with a bbpbbbp sound

Clem looks at Vashti "Indelicately put, but yes."
