Mara is nearby the Chief when she sees Clem get the text from Earl.

"What the heck?" Clem says as she taps back

It would appear she's having a heated talk via text, and Clem is not fast at texting so her face scrunches

"Mara, I have to go visit Earl, letting you know, so spread the word. I should be back before the end of the day" Clem says and departs. To tell others the same no doubt.

and she is gone.
