"Yeah but if you can do what you love or at least something that deals with your craft so much the better, and not just for you- there's some boss or patron out there who would love to have you working for them."

She gives him a dry look. "Yeah. Just what I always. Wanted."

"You know what I mean" He says

A shrug. "Somethin' I know how ta do. Textiles. Design. Manufacture. Shit like that."

"Well, I'm not as familiar with the textiles industry save for what Zara has taught me and what I can use as a canvas"

"Yeah, we....." she pauses in mid-'Well,' looking off into nothing. "Huh."

"Idea?"

"Maybe, yah. Wonderin' if I did a canvas outta somethin, what your paint'n do to it. On it." She shakes her head clear. "Nevermind. I looked around. Not a lotta that right now up in Poughkeepsie. Useta be, but...."

"Can we bring it back?"

A dry look. "Prolly not. Manufacturing ain't 'in' anymore." A sigh. "There's a reason I'm a grump, kid."

"Yeah, you chose to be" He reminds her

"Feh."

She shrugs again. "I'll find somethin' After everythin' else it won't kill me. So. Got a squat, work... next?"

"I guess that needs to include Zara, you know, which half you guys get of the building"

"I think we get the Garret"

"Ya think?" Her expression suggest the troll might be brain damaged.

"Okay, you're right. I KNOW Zara and I get the Garret. Zara would murder me if I didn't call dibs"

"Yeah. Ok. We're good. You tell 'er."

"Miriam... uhm, thank you"

"Whatever." She scuffs out and away.

He wonders how to explain this to Zara
