"I'm okay!" He shouts out to the nurse. "Just need a moment my love. I am sure you understand!"

"You've been kept out of the loop," He says quietly, "I've given away more than you knew. Interesting. Do you have enemies within the House itself? A rival?"

Then his head whips back to Piotr. For a moment a scowl starts to twist his handsome features. But then a cool smile settles in its place. "Tell me Piotr. What is your intent? How do you want this all to end?"

"You ask me to lay all my cards on the table before I have seen even half of your own hand? Mmm," He inclines his head, "I will answer, in part. My chief goal is to find a way to keep the peace between Firnost's denizens and House Varich so that House Varich does not lose the valuable access that only Firnost provides. If denied that, we will be at disadvantage to every other House there is, or flat out reliant upon them or commoner agents who might also have to hide. I want no more kidnappings, no more blood shed. That will only lead to greater loss on both sides. I think it is short sighted. That is it, in part. Now, what of you? Have you enemies in the House itself? rivals or the like?"

"Of course I do not." He stats clearly. "Rivals? Perhaps?" A bit of a wicked grin. "But which of us live without rivals." He frowns slightly. "But they would not act in this fashion, in this way."

"No, they shouldn't," He admits, perplexed, "Jarrod, I would be cautious who you tell about what you've learned tonight, at least until we have more pieces of the puzzle. If you feel I have done you any service, may I ask you for another favor?"

"What favor is that." He leans back now, clearly getting a bit tired.

"Do what you can to help Illia from being yanked back too soon but warn me if danger comes to her. She like you is a potential target in this I fear. And agree or or not, our House must try to look out for each other."

"Oh that." He twists to fluff a pillow. "Of course. She should be fine. It is not like she is the one required to do anything of danger. But I will keep your request in mind."

"You are a gent sir, and I have kept you from your.." A glance to the door, "Comfort." Amused, "I'll visit again when you've rested then ?" An offer and request

He give a nod. "Of course Piotr, what is our house if we don't keep good company? Hrmm?"

Amused, "Indeed, though sometimes it is the wicked that appeals." And he moves to open the door, "Good night, Jarrod."

"Good night Piotr, take care and be watchful." Said with a wink.

As soon as the door opens the nurses come fluttering in. At least three of them. One of them old enough to be Jarrods grandmother, but hey...how often do you get to help out a guy that is so 'magical'.

he takes notes for a moment, one can't help but admire such a ..talent, and then he moves on out. Feeling tired himself, but also intrigued... and very very concerned. A sidhe tried to kill Jarrod. Why? What house? Too many pieces of the puzzle left alone.
