Meanwhile, Piper pulls the captain aside. "How's your ship? Have you had a chance to talk to it - her?"

"She's ... relieved I suppose is the best word? As if finding the monsters and saving the children has made it all better. I don't know how long this will last. Is it permanent? Will it fade rapidly and back to the old rimrunner? I don't know" Shi admits

"Are you still mad?"

Knowing how volatile Satyr emotions are, but sometimes anger runs deep.

"Ffft... I admit, at first I was ready to launch yhou out of a cannon, but... it lead to something good, didn't it? " Meaning the children "And ...something profitable." She adds, "There's stuff here we can loot freely and well.. you want a gold watch?"

Her eyes gleam in interest for a moment, but then she shakes her head. "No offense - and I mean that literally, not tongue in cheek... but I don't want to profit off those goons." Turning and glaring out to sea in the direction of where the Yacht is/was. "Wait... was that a Rolex?"

"YUP." She adds

"So you see why I'm feeling all forgiving?"

"We-ell....." She grins. "I'll take it. But I have something to give in return."

She walks up the deck and climbs onto the railing, until she dangles over the figure head. Reaching out, she hangs the chain with the once-heart now-whirlpool pendent on it, around the neck of Rimrunner's figurehead.

"I'm not sure how, but somehow this Treasure, plus my glamour, helped you wake up. It feels fitting to let you keep it."

She says to the Ship.

"thank you" The Rimrunner whispers...and the medallion sinks into the wood and becomes a part of it

She smiles, and feels a little lighter to be free of it. "Ope. I hope Vali doesn't get mad. Oh well, that's a problem for LATER PIPER."

So it is... and she has a rolex!

She hides this away in her bag, and checks to see if she has any signal on her cell...

"Well, poo. ANYONE GOT SOME RICE?!"

Eventually, she manages to dry out her phone, presumably... is there any cell signal? Else... "Where are we putting next to port?"

"Redfin territory... do not break tribal laws"

The signal is weak and thready

Well, then she spends time until they get closer checking in on the kids. For a time. Then she has to pace and growl angrily, until her anger fades and she can check on them again. It repeats a few times.

FINALLY... as The Captain is talking to some Selkie lady with a fancy design on her shoulder... the signal comes clear

She calls Siv!

Doesn't take long for a response "Hey, Piper that you? Are you okay? We're in ALaska. Mor and Da are watching the babes"

"Of course it's me, Love. Now... don't get upset, okay?"

A pause "Whenver you start with don't get upset, I almost ALWAYS have reasons to get upset. Are you hurt?"

"No, I'm not. I'm FINE. Everyone is okay. Keep that in mind, okay?"

"I don't want to cut your trip short, but I was hoping you might be able to come pick me up in the Narwhal? And a few..." She considers, "New friends."

"Where are you at?" she finally asks "Is it jail, do I need to bring bail money?" she MIGHT be joking on the last

"No, ha! Though the only jail I know of on the water is Alcatraz, and I do love California... no, I'm by an island... one sec..." She pulls a mate aside to ask a quick question, then "The closest bay that the selkie's will let us dock at is something called "Bunkum Bay?" Apparently they're a bit touchy around here, though not as bad as they used to be. Captain Shi is negotiating for us to make port now."

Apparently the rescue of the kids is giving the Rimrunner and crew more leeway than most fae vessels get in Redfin waters!

There is a LONG pause

Piper carefully skirting around naming the larger body of water she happens to be in...

then finally a tense response "Piper... we need to get you out of there... RIGHT now. That is where the sea monster is. Please tell me you're not near the shore?"

"LAND HO!" Someone shouts in the background, after hearing a piercing whistle. Loud enough for Siv to overhear possibly

"We-e-ell... about the sea monster, it's kinda a long story."

"Wait! I need you to bring Jonas, please, if you can. I really need Ann Marie, but he's second best - oh, I don't mean it like THAT... donchudaretellhimIsaidthat... I mean... you'll understand when you're here..."

"Love,, darling, PRECIOUS... horn cakes... I'll bring Jonas, but only because he may hold me back from some very unlady like comments when we get there. I love you, oh, and 'stay back from the FOOKING SHORE!" Click

"That's odd." She peers at her phone.

"We weren't near the shore when the monster attacked." She muses.

Meanwhile...

"The beast has been slain?!" Aoife, Selkie Warrior of the Redfin Tribe, exclaims at Captain Shi. "That's wonderful news! That changes much. You must bring your crew ashore." Unheard of! "There will be a feast!"

Shi can be heard saying "You're too kind, Chieftain, we were worried we might be intruding, but yes, the sea beast is gone. Twas Piper there that you have to thank for that"

"The little one?" Aoife is astonished, and drags the Captain aside for the whole story! She even offers RUM!

Piper, back on main stage, paces the deck worriedly as she awaits Siv.
