Piper leans into the washboard’s rough rhythm, her voice lifting into a chant with a sharper edge, the tune a rough sea shanty style, to match the washboard playing.
"Oh, lady of the sea, hear my plea,
Your mate’s gone, but not by me.
There’s ships that plunder, steal, and take,
Turn your wrath for justice’s sake!
They gut your waters, bleed them dry,
Harpoons flying, creatures die.
Let your fury find their hull,
Sink them deep, and fill the lull!"
As she sings, Piper floods her song with vivid imagery, pouring her Inspiration in even as she wills the Amulet to twist the monsters desire for vengeance. It's near Samhain, and Piper is leaning unseelie - as such, rather than trying to turn Vengeance into something softer, like love... rather she redirects it. The magic swirls in a spiral, twisting like the turns in the nautilus, like a whirlpool, WILLING the creature to attend and listen!
She feeds it visions... vast ships dredging nets full of helpless life, barrels of waste leaking into sapphire waters, and the crack of harpoons shattering the tranquility of the deep.
She wills it to latch onto the monster’s grief and anger, twisting it into a new direction. “See them!” Piper urges silently. “The true villains. Not Siv, not Jonas, not the babies—them.”
