"What's this?" Hewitt, Chief of Darkgate, asks as news of Silverwolf comes in

Linnea, ever the volunteer to visit, nods solemnly. Today, solely on Business, and not pleasure.

"We find ourselves in need of a holding cell that can accommodate an ogre of inordinate strength. Wudlig could potentially create a corridor of endless circling, but for this.. detainee, he is not the brightest and may instead choose to bull right through the walls."

"Cells we have, ones that can even hold an Ogre, and we could fashion one for you there in time... but what surprises me is why you keep the thing alive at all. " The Chieftain says "A quick beheading is what I'd suggest"

"I believe they intend to question it." A sigh, and she relates the tale to Hewitt, truthful and fully, and trusting in his discretion.

"We are left with an imbecile and a liar. Chances are slim that we can get any sort of intel out of either, but if there is a larger game afoot beyond Spriggan 'pranks', we do not want to be caught unaware."

He nods at this taking it in

"To be honest, the pooka is of more concern. Even as one that has breached the right of Demense, the right of life protects him in return. Else, I feel that Dame Gladiola might have already skinned the beast, The Baron is not pleased either." Perhaps an understatement.

"In another age, he may have locked him into his alter form with dictum and send him serve as a turnspit dog for a year and a day."

"Creative, your baron," Chief hewitt observes wryly "The pooka's crimes are unknown in full so you worry you cannot render fair judgment but he ddid help the Spriggan. "

"Other options included docking his tail as a warning and banning him from the county." She sighs.

"Mmm how can we help with him?"

"And... at the risk of sounding greedy, how do we get hhads on this alarm system that alerted you to the second attempt?"

Linnea gives him a thin smile. "Please understand that such bargains are passed down from on high, lest you think I have grown devious. Silverwolf will share the plans for the Spriggan-alert device. We also will provide you with preferential pricing on potential future devices by the same craftswoman."

"In return, we would ask that once we have finished any required questioning of the two, Dark Gate would take on the onus of both prisoners post questioning - including disposal thereof, as you may see fit. Whatever fate awaits the pooka, he is not to show toe nor tail within Silverwolf again - a full banishment. As for the ogre..." She shrugs. "I dare say he will not be missed."

"Oh, I know you to be a cunning warrioress, but aye, I confess I am not surprised this comes from on high. Your baron can strike smooth bargains. tis the nature of the Dragon House... and we Dougal bargain well too. But our hold is sworn foes of the fell, and we would i Hope help anyway against their plots. Tell your lord and lady while details might need finalized, we will start the transfer ASAP."

"I'll do so, gratefully. They may not say as much, but it will be a relief to have them off the premises." She starts to rise, and then pauses. "Do your duties require attention at the immediate moment? There is a... that is to say. If you are hungry. A new restaurant has opened. If you would join me for lunch."

"Join you? I would be upset not to have the chance to buy the bonniest lass such a repast as I savored her company more even than the food " He offers his arm "Let's see how it goes, eh?"

She takes the arm, expression lightening. "Gladly!"

And talk about villains and Thallain is left behind, for pleasanter things for a time.
