For Sylvi, work at Darkgate can be a joy, or draining in turns. The locals, for the most part, greet her as a sign of good news. They share how things are going, share their problems, and if she can't solve them herself, she passes them on. One danger is that folks often try to FEED her. She already eats at Lodee and home.

In fact, she's learned to eat less at Lodge or home when she anticipates meeting with the locals that day. And she tries to fit in a long jog when she can.

Damn but the Deermuffs cupcakes ARE good. She could down them like popcorn if she wasn't careful

So she's on a jog now, trying to burn calorories

And.. a figure catches up with her, not hard to believe, as the figure is a satyr

If she weren't a troll, she might have been so much in her own world that she might not have noticed the sound of hoof-steps right away. However, that troll awareness has her turn around to spot the other jogger well before he gets to her. She nods as he catches up. "Good morning!" she huffs with a smile.

"Morning," The blond haired satyr guy says. He's got a jock's build, more like a running back than a runner but his birthright is strong "Hope you don't mind sharing the lane? I can shoot on if you want to just hit the zone alone"

"No, it's fine. I don't think we've met? I'm Sylvi."

"Platon, don't forget the N, I'm not smart enough for that whole cave of Truth thing" A grin, "Sylvi? The Bridge right?"

"That's me," she smiles. "Hi, Platon. Are you new to the area? Or have I just not encountered you before now?"

"Kind of both " He admits "I live here with my traggo but we travel on and off." Platon ponders "Ever hear of Renfaires?"

"or Renaissance fair, but who can spell Renaissance?" A grin

"Oh, sure!" Sylvi nods. "Been to some. Good place to find Dreamers."

"Our traggo works with one, i's kind of a like a traveligg circus... I admit, we play fast and loose with the time period... predating the Renaissance is okay"

"Cool! How are those doing, since the pandemic? Able to open?" Compared to the satyr's easy speech, she needs to keep her phrasing short while she runs.

He slows the pace if she shows a need to "Rough still.... but we wee hoping to set one up here again. I hear you're the person to ask? "

She blinks. "A full renn-faire, here? Wow. I mean...maybe? I haven't set up anything like that before. Then again, I'm doing a lot of stuff I haven't ever done before around here. Let me look into it." A thought. "Hey...while we're talking about performing, any of your group into musical theater? There's a local production of Music Man going up soon, needs cast members."

"You kiddingg? It's a traggo of satyrs, every third guy thinks he should be the minstrel" a smirk "I'll ask around. We're more 'Greensleeves' than 'oh we got trouble' but sure"

"Excellent! Well...you work on that, and I'll see what we can do about a Renn-faire. How large-scale are we talking?"

"Probably smart and NOT Family friendly, I know it sounds harsh, but we're satyrs and we've founnd i's just better to be honest up front"

(Small not smart)

"Oooooh." She looks dubious. "Uh, how not-family-friendly?"

"Well, we won't be having sex in public... but there will be alchohal there... bawdy songs that have dirty if auldashioned lyrics"

"Oh! Oh, I don't think that'll be a problem. I mean, yeah, you're likely to get pushback from some more banal types in the name of 'protecting the children' but not too much."

"Which is why I was thinking 'no kids' would be best."

A low voice "Folks will hook up though. you'd be surprised how many placid husbands suddenly get all 'prime nocte all over again' with their wives at these events for example"

"See, I think you'll lose half your patrons that way."

She colors slightly. "Well, sure, I guess. Perfect context for romantic fantasies. Hmm...well, like I said, I'll look into it."

"Yeah?" A scratch of his chin "Look if you think it has a better chance of getting approval from the Chief.. maybe we could have a curfew for the kids to go home or adult only tents?"

"Let me find out what other events do, especially when they focus on drinking and stuff. Whatever rules they get, we probably can duplicate. But I think maybe a day-faire and a night-faire might make sense? Day for all-ages, night for 18-and-up.

"Okay... I'm Flexiable and so are most of the guys" AHe nods

"Great. I'll talk to the Chieftain about it. How about you come to the Fortress tomorrow, and we can discuss what he says?"

"You got it. When's a good time?"

She names a time when she's fairly sure she'll be likely to have a break.

And Platon gives a thumbs up, and goes onn

Leaving Sylvi to jog along. Her thoughts quickly return to.. so much. She's building here, so why does she wish she could turn a corner and see Rivervale lodge?

Maybe...maybe if she can just run a little faster...or get a little more done...maybe then she won't have time to miss home?

She picks up the pace again, knowing that she's likely to indulge in those cupcakes again as soon as she get home.
