"Someone had Sex" Nadeen observes Sylvi's smile. Nadeen is wearingg a bathrobe and having a coffee. Hard to live in Rivervale without getting a taste for it in one form or antoher, though she prefers the 'fancy stuff' that puts the Chieftain off

"Well, mayyyyyybe." She grins. "Of course, I'm not making suppositions about how much sex you've been having. At least, not out loud."

"I have to be diplomatic all day at Silver wolf and when on the rounds as Reeve. At home, I can be as tacky as I like. It's soothing" Smug sip

She gets herself a glass of cranberry-flavored seltzer from the fridge.

"You know you give me blackmail material that way. 'Oh, Dame Calanthe, you wouldn't believe what Nadeen said the other day....' "

She sits at the kitchen island and takes a sip before checking her phone.

"As if Dame Calanthe needs TRUE material to try any avenue, that woman. I swear.. if she throws her PHD or years of studyinng magic in my face one more time, I'm liable to tell her that her make up makes her laugh lines look particularly vibrant."

Knowing that the make up wizardeess will get what a dig that age wise and the fact that Calanthe doesn't really lauggh

at least not kindly

That makes Sylvi grin. "The falconer with crow's feet."

She flips through a few screens on her phone as she sips her drink, then glances up at Nadeen. "You know I'm totally kidding, right? That's I'm absolutely Team N'Aiden?"

Her phone has messages from some locals, theatre is going well. Lots of other locals happy to help thanks to her getting word out

A grin at one of the messages. She flags a couple of emails for her to-do list.

Nadeen ponders "I admit, a part of me did go to what I would do if you actually did. I'm a bit on guard thanks to Calanthe. The annoying thing is, if she had no redeeming qualities, she'd be easier to move against. But, I seem to have this streak of mercy in me I can't quite shake .That whole 'we are not so different' ... in some ways, she and I aren't. I could be her, if I were older, and 200% the bitch I am now"

She glances up from the phone with a dubious look. "Just 200%?" Swipe another screen...swipe...swipe... "You know her better than I do, but you're a LONG way from the person you were when you first arrived. She was a lot more like Calanthe than you are now. And Calanthe doesn't have any excuse...she's been in Concordia a LOT longer than you have."

"Now there's an idea... I'll find a troll lodge, geasa Calanthe to live there for a year and a day, and see if she comes out a better person" She seems to thinnk it over "no no... wouldn't work. I can't think of a single troll lodge that deserves that"

"THANK you, no," Sylvi agrees. And then she falls quiet. Swipe...swipe...swipe....

A knock on the door.

"Oh dear..." She blushes at her bathrobe "I didn't expect company. Could you get that, Sylvi? I'lll change fast"

"Yup, got it." She gets up and goes to the door, checking to make sure that Nadeen has gotten up the stairs before she opens it.

And a quick rush it was

A pooka at the door! He has rather pointed features, and smallish, rounded ears in his hair. Tall and thin, and holding a long, thin box. "Delivery for... well hello there, tall, blue, and lovely." He looks her up and down, and back up, and up some more. Not QUITE so tall as Sylvi, of course.

A delivery truck rumbles on the drive, and he has, yes, a brown and gold outfit and cap.

"Hi...?" she says curiously. "Who's this for?"

"A ONE Mrs. Tanya Reeve, That is, I mean a Nadeen Brown, if you know what I mean. I might just have a little something for you in the back of my truck, if you care to come take a peek?"

He gives her a GRIN.

And down comes Nadeen, wearing a lovely blouse, blue jeans and summer sandals

"Oooh! Oooh!" Jasper Hobb, Pooka at Large, waves at her through the doorway as he peeks around Sylvi... and then wolf whistles.

"Greetings, Jasper... how are you?"

"Oh, I'm just as fine and dandy as sour candy, and wouldn't you know it, I got a new job, and I'm on the up and up, Just like you recommended. Ain't life grand, when you're dealt a decent hand?"

"Oh yes, the straight and narrow path becomes you, but I hope you'll understand if I check any receipts?" She says "this is Sylvi, a friend who I trust."

"I'm glad you know him...I was about to give him a pretty sound telling-off."

A nod to Jasper.

"Sylvi, this is Jasper... I got him out of trouble once... sometimes I wonder if I should have" wryly "but he learns things"

"Well, that can be helpful. Hey, Jasper. Soooo...what's in the box?"

"I DO learn things, yesirree. And today I learned that there is a package for a Tanya Brown, and I thought, now where do I know that name from, where... where... AH! That's it, it's my most loveliest liege lady."

He blinks at Sylvi, and his pointed nose twitches a few times. "Oh, we're not supposed to open them. Naughty girl. You're trying to get me fired so that you can keep me as a kept man? Twist my arm just a bit more, and promise to feed me bon bons?"

"Well, if you know things..." She grins and shrugs. "I figured you'd know." Then she looks to Nadeen. "Were you expecting something?"

"Not that I recall" she says

She takes the box and sees who i is from

"Um...do me a favor, then? Let me open it?"

Funnily enough, the box is NOT in a UPS-style packaging. It's just a garment box, but a fancy one, expensive looking, and there is a card as well... which Jasper plucks off the box and dances just out of reach. "Allow me, allow me, ahem herm herm. I so SELDOM get to give a speech..."

"What?" A surprised look "Sylvi, if it's a prank I might be more.. resistant to embarrasment. Kithain gift"

A brow at the pooka's audacity "God I miss Gibbets"

"Yeah, well..." Then she pauses to let Jasper read the card aloud.

Although she realizes that it's not at all likely that what comes out of his mouth is going to match what's on the card.

"HEAR YE, HEAR YE, as decreed, on this day, the twelve of June, in year of our lord, TWO-THOUSAND and TWENTY One..."

He makes a show of opening the envelope and clearing his throat.

"To "N", That, I assume, is someone you know..." "Ahem, To N, please accept.... yadda yadda... thank you for... etc..." He turns the card over and shakes it, and makes a disappointed look. "What, no $20 bill from Grandma?" At least there's no poison needles, either?" And hands the card over with a flourish.

She takes the card, and looks it over to see what it REALLY Says
