At the house Sylvi and Nadeen share, likely neither expected Vali to show up

And he knocks at the door.

Sylvi answers, and yes, she's clearly surprised to see him there. "Vali? What...?" Then remembering manners, "Come in!" She steps aside to allow him in.

He wipes his feet. He looks grimer than normal "Nadeen here?"

She is, upstairs in fact

"Um, yeah. Let me get her. Grab a seat, if you want, and there's stuff in the fridge," she offers as she heads up the stairs.

"Sure I... since when are the two of you so clean?" A surprised look at the immaculate area

Nadeen comes into Sylvi's view as the troll starts up the stairs "It's not Colton?"

"No," she says to Nadeen. "It's Vali." She definitely looks concerned. "C'mon, he asked for you."

She moves quickly, glad she's got her casual clothes already on. She can move quickly

She reverses course to come back downstairs. "Long story," she answers Vali.

"Can I get you anything?" Laws of hospitality, first.

"Hope it's happier news than mine. Good, got both of you at once, actually you two may want to sit down or get a drink for yourselves, my news isn't happy."

Sylvi's eyes go wide. "What happened?" She doesn't seem interested in getting a drink or sitting down.

Nadeen neither, "Vali, it sounds serious. Please, don't keep us in sus-"

"Jaymes was shot," Vali interrupts with the information they wanted, "Gunman came to his store, seemed more interested in taking him out than robbing him. Jaymes is alive, killed the guys who came after him. But he's in the hopsital, there was heart surgery"

Jaw-dropped, Sylvi stands stunned for a moment. "But...he's alive," she reassures herself of that fact. "Anybody else of ours involved?"

"In the first shooting, no, in the vampire that went to Dagmar's house, yes. Dame Dagmar and the Mountain and TIffany, among others, are taking shifts watching over Jaymes at the hospital last I heard."

A blink. "So...okay." She readjusts to the certainty that this was not just a robbery or some other kind of random violence. "Okay. I can help..." she offers.

"We can't heal him while he's at the hopsital and we can't take him right out, but soon, and then we'll heatherbalm the hell out of him" Vali says

"Wait, let's go back to the vampire, please? Because that's a whole nother prodigal" Nadeen definitely heard that

Sylvi bites her lip, clearly more impatient to help with the healing than anything else. But she nods for Vali to explain more.

"Long story short? May, Dagmar's mortal dreamer friend, got worried when Sam stopped responding to texts about her dad. Was going to bring a plate of brownies. Connor was there w ondering where Dagmar and Tove and CJ were... .they had gone to the lodge. Vampire tries to take May, Connor calls for Help. Oak to the rescue though he got hurt... healed now, then Zane, Anne Marie and Dirk come in, I don't know what order, stake vampire.. Zane's handling the child of lilith. Oak healed up. Working theory? Leach had contengencies for when he was captured. The fact he's working with a child of lilith shows how batshit crazy he is."

Sylvi's hand covers her mouth for a moment. Then she manages, "May? Is she okay? And Connor?"

"Both fine, but we better hope Zane's chicanery worked to obsure her memory because otherwise, she knows vampires are real"

"If you don't want Sylvi for healing, how can we help?"

That from Nadeen

A long exhale, both of relief that they're okay, and in reaction to the notion of May knowing about vampires.

"You're getting Sylvi for healing, just maybe not today," she mutters.

a smile at Sylvi, "Okay, not going to fight with the Bridge of Dark Gate" then to answer Nadeen, "Mostly, because you both deserved to know. How pissed would you have been at us if we hadn't told you?"

"So pissed," Sylvi nods. "I'm going to ask the Chieftain for a leave so I can get down there for a few days."

"I suppose I can arrange at least a day" Nadeen ponders "THough I worry I'm neglecting Reeve duties, Rivervale is a Silverwolf ally and... poor Dagmar" her face is the picture of concern "Vali, she's going to find a way to blame herself for this."

"She will," Sylvi agrees.

"That's ridiculous, we all took part in taking Leech down, " He frowns "Of course she is the one who chopped his arm off, but damn it...yeah she might blame herself"

"It is ridiculous" Nadeen totally agrees "AND I'm Right"

"Oh, man...yeah, that's...oh, crap, they're not going to stop, now that they've started, are they? Like...if they're targeting her family, they're going to target other people who are close to her. And if they're sending vampires...they'll target mortal friends."

"Already covering the bases at Rivervale" Vali tells Sylvi, "Your mother is this close to mass producing garlic and holy water with the cauldron, but suffice to say she's prepared. Besides, I get the feeling Leech is near the doom he feared"

"Doomed or not, if he's paid folks off to avenge him...." Nadeen scowls "No, he can't be let go. Not after what he did to Blossom"

She bites her lip again about her mother, and nods. Then she gives Vali a look. "You've got a feeling? Or something more...certain?"

"You know I'm not allowed to talk much about it, let's just say, I think ..." A pause "I think the Chieftain will deliver his doom to him in way even she does not expect"

She nods with some satisfaction, then looks to Nadeen.

"Beaumayn are irritating. " Nadeen mmphs, then gives a regal nod "Thank you for telling us, Sir Vali. We'll be there to help after alerting our respevtive areas"

"You're welcome. Now, let me tell you some other HAPPIER News..." and he fills them in
