April huffs "YES... and I'm not going to apologize for freaking out about this."

"I don't believe you're being asked to apologize." He points out mildly.

April nods sobering "You're right. I just.. whhat do I tell Caesar? he's going to want to murder the sidhe"

"Then don't trouble him with it."

"I can't lie to him," She frowns

"But you can down play a bit," CC points out "And stress you need him HERE"

"Perhaps not stress -too- much; no need to draw attention."

CC ponders "A fair point. "

"I was dictumed, I don't think he'll understand the calm but.. maybe he'll chalk it up to my trollish blood?" April is uncertain

"Perhaps honesty can be found in telling him what happened calmly, IF he asks." Emerson suggests "Did a pack of Sidhe wander past and did one of them enter our home?" "Yes, here's what happened....." Of course.... if he doesn't -ask-.......

"Make like Nick Wilde in an interview in Zootopia?" April looks a bit amused

Despite her worries

"If he doesn't ask, then you can spread your truths out in small doses" CC hmms

"Er.... yes." Emerson agrees "Small doses, if he asks for them."

CC says "Did you find any evidence of who they were? April? Heraldry, anything dropped? I supopse a match book would be too much to hope for"

"Bit of a blur" April frowns

"Someone dropped a dagger outside."

CC turns "Excellent. Maybe it is a clue or has a link to them we can use. Do you have it?"

"It's just outside, I didn't want to bring it in." He looks first, well and carefully, before opening the door.

"Bring it in anyway," CC says "I think it's a greater threat to our enemy than it is to us at this point"

He doesn't like it, but he brings it inside, wrapped in his handkerchief.

CC takes it, and unfolds it "April, you may want to go upstairs. If this has a trap on it I don't want you or the kids endangered. I don't think it's likely"

Emerson shoos her along (April).

April protests but goes along, while CC begins working

Emerson hustles back as quick as he can.

Her working is begun, chanting and using soothsay to find a connection
