Teensy , troll cook with a slavic expertise, looks for EBG

And there he is. Busy, as usual, but never too much for his staff.

"Hey, boss, sorry to bother you. We've got an odd situation"

"Odd situations are what we -do-, my dear! Do tell."

"Well, a lot of folks are really liking the Yemas de Santa Teresa today" She says . Indeed, Emerson has heard some praise "Particularly since they appear complimentary. TThere's only one problem... I'm not making tthem back there. No one is. I'm not sure who is putting them on tables. We have a rogue chef or at least baker"

His eyes narrow. "Oh dear me, that will never do. The staff are not delivering them to the tables? They just... appear? That smacks of magic...."

"My very thought" Tthe troll nods. "I just wanted to tell you this isn't my doing or anyone else in the kitchen staff's"

"Hmmm...." he scans the room to see if there are any treats out there.

He does see one table, a couple looking surprised and curious. Clearly they didn't order that, but seem to be about to try it

He bustles over and tuts. "Oh dear me, no no no.... please, allow me to replace this. I will have words, I will!" He assures them "A round of drinks, and a set of appetizers?"

"Oh that would be lovely" "Can my wife have those cauliflower and cheese puffs?" "oh those are my weakness"

"I will make it a double serving." He assures, and bustles away with the basket of Yemas, telling the bartender to send a couple drinks to that table and snagging a server to get them the puffs before taking the basket to his office to examine.

The bartender nods affirmative and gets tto work. The place really does run smoothly.

He closes the office door behind him, already looking into the basket.

EBG gets to the back of his office and looks in. There doesn't seem to be anything magical about it. No glamour kenned anyway. That said, at the bottom of the basket, there is writing.

It's a website for 'Capistrano Delights Foodtruck'

Someone is smugling stuff into his place in order to advertise?

"Hmmph." he sets the basket down and looks up the site.

It looks to be rather new, but not malware ish. You can summon the food truck which drives to your area, kind of a combo door dash/food truck. It has a Spanish flare!

More Spain than Mexico in fact. Interesting.

Any indication this might be a Fae enterprise?

TThe fact it appeared on the ttable and isn't the first does seem suspicious. The food maybe natural talent, but the delivery in here? He might want to keep an eye open for veiled eyes...as counter intuitive as that is. Or a shape shifter

And he can spread the word to do so to other trusted staff members.

Does he try one?

Not alone; he will ask Callidora to join him.

CC does, on a break "Okay. What's up? " In the background, one of her seconds is getting her own moment in the spotlight

He explains about the baskets, the website, and gestured to the treats. "I wanted to try one, but I thought perhaps ... not alone. A co-pilot, as it were."

"The BALLS on whoever is behind this, how do they walk?" She says "And wise."

"Speaking of balls, brace yourself." he takes one, and consumes it.

And it is DELICIOUS. If it's poisoned, it might just be worth it

"Mmm." he is reluctant to grant that much but....

"Feeling dizzy? Ill?" Curious

Nope. Nothing but the urge to have another.

And that's not magical either

"Nooo...." he turns back to the computer; does it track the truck's location in real-time? Or close?

"Can 'I' try one?" CC says "Lead me not to temptation, I can find it myself?"

It DOES!

"Ha! Tell you what, my Dearest, come with me to see this truck and when we return... yes. I want to give it a little time, see if there's a reaction. I would not risk you."

She nods "All right. I've got the rotation for singers in place... lead on" She rises to join him

He makes sure he has a few little friends in his pockets, and off they go. The basket can stay.

She and he go outside, and she says "So we make an order? " It isn't far away according the tracker "or see if someone else from our club does?"

"First the latter, then the former." he suggests "And we should take careful note of the truck and its occupants."

"I feel a bit like a P.I. in a film noir, need a long coat and a hat while I linger in the black and white glamour" A sultry pose

"Oh Dearest, now is not the time to distract me." he chides mildly.

"We can play dress up later, though....."

"I can keep my hat on?" She smirks as she references a song he enjoys "Oh very well, I'll be good."

"Yes, you certainly can."
