The troll rises, "Yes, but I best go save that poor girl" She moves off

Emerson will walk her to the door, of course, before he saunters back to drop into his seat beside Callidora. "Well." he rolls his head on his shoulders, stretching.

CC watches him return, "She's fierce, a touch wild, and yet cute. The DeBukes wil find her ...useful . Speaking of Debukes, some applicants are coming over soon"

OOC What did his boggan sense tell him about Murray and Iceni, again?

OOC: Some possible attraction between the two unseelie, romance could be coaxed if he wanted, but it's hardly a sealed deal

"Mmm." while they have a moment alone, he fills her in on the obvious attracting between trolls "... but then, you could probably see it yourself."

"Oh I .. no" She admits impressed "I can see it NOW that you mention it, but my boggan awareness is quite the superpower. Mmm , well, if you hope to seduce her, best get to work beating Murray's time" teasing (?)

A chuckle. "Mm..." a sigh "She is attractive, yes. And Murray's interest is certainly a bonus." he sips, thinking "But.... no. I think not."

"More of a challenge" She remembers " I understand"

A sigh. "Oh, I have no doubt it would be a challenge, and a worthy one. As well as a sweet reward. But, I am at -least- as interested in seeing Murray fall, so...." he chuckles.

"Ha. Well, there will be other chances if you wish, lover"

"Anyways, viisting DeBukes tomorrow"

She kisses him lightly "So keep your schedule cleared"

"Yes, ma'am." he says obediently.

The next day, well, the club is currently 'closed' but they expect the applicants soon anyway

And Emerson is, as always, prepared.

So when there is a knock on the back entrance, he's not surprised

He gets the door.

Two troll women await... 19 years old in appearance. One has a cowboy hat, blue jeans, and an Iowa pride T shirt. The other has dressed up in a ofice worthy button up , light vest, and slacks with flats.

"Ladies." a genial nod "Do come in." he makes room.

"Hello, Mr. Stodgepole" Says the girl in more business outfit as they come in, "I'm Tabitha, this is Martha..."

"Marti" The girl in the hat corrects

"The pleasure is mine." he assures them.

"Come in, come in.... " he leads them to a table in the dining room where he has coffee and tea set up "Something to drink?"

"Coffee would be welcome, sir" Tabitha says with a formal and respectful tone

He nods and plays mother while they seat themselves "Now, I've seen your CVs. But those can be so dry. Tell me about yourselves."

They do take seats, but Marti speaks up "Actually, sir. I was gonna talk to Miss CC? I'm hoping to learn show biz?"

"Don't be rude, Marti." Tabitha tuts, then says "Well, sir. Speaking of myself, I have one year of community college in hotel management classes.. it was a program, and I graduated with a strong 3.7 GPA from high school before that, strongest points in math. I hope to learn a lot from you building on that"

She says this with dignity and formal body language

Marti rolls her eyes behind Tabitha's view but then says "Well, Spencer is doing well, so I hoped I might have a chance too"

"I'm sure we can arrange a meeting, Miss Marti." he assures her "Tabitha, it sounds like you have the education for it. What draws you to the work?"

"Well sir, I confess, my cooking skills are a touch weak compared to many others at the farm, but I do have a knack for numbers" Tabitha explains, "And while too much mortal interaction in finances might seem banal, I find I rather like protecting assets from the dangers of loss or bueracratic entanglement" As if she were guarding it on a bridge

A smile. "Well put!"

OOC Is Callidora 'round the Club?

He sees a figure behind the stage curtain, CC no doubt

"And Miss Marti, tell me about your dreams. You wish to perform?"

"Yes sir... I do," She says "I won't say I'm 'guarding anything' I just like it. Makes me feel good to tell stories by song. " then Marti admits "I mostly do country and western, but I'm told this a jazz club and I guess I could give it a try if I'm welcome"

"Please do." he gestures towards the stage.

She looks surprised, "You want me to perform now or.. oh" She sees a shape "Is that where Miss CC is?"

"I thought you might give us a performance, yes.... unless the ruler of that stage objects?"

"Love to hear it" CC strides out. Despite the fact the girl is a troll, CC 's stage presence makes her seem more there, more in command

He can't help but smile.

Marti straightens shakes her curly blonde hair, removes a guitar from her back, then plays
