"Mmm... no need, my boy." the boggan looks a bit flustered but pats the trolls hand "No need."

"Well I'll put it away" He says "Sorry .. find some place to store it"

Emerson does not, absolutely does NOT, glance at Miss CC. "I think I know a spot."

"But.. I thought you didn't want it? You..appeared scandalized, sir?" He says

CC takes mercy on the boy "A little scandal can be fun, Emerson and I love it, but i suspect he'd like it kept in a room that's.. off limits to most eyes"

"Ahem." gruffly.

"Right" He hands it over "Sorry. Must of been an unseelie whim. I should go. Zara will want to talk about the funeral"

"Give her our affection, and thank you for the gift" CC smiles

Emerson offers his hand. "Thank you for coming, and do encourage Zara to visit us?"

"I will" He shakes the hand, and shakes CC as well. Then departs with a flash of glamour.

Once he is gone, CC breaks into giggles

"Oh that is hilarious"

William can't help but snort at her giggles in response, and then adopts a stern look. "Dearest, really."

"Oh now you're not REALLY offended are you? Both satyr and Bogganette are dressed just fine"

His eye glints and he smirks; he's not really offended, no.

"Had ME going for a sec" wink, then looking back at the painting "It needs a frame. Oh where shall we put it?"

"I suppose we could put it up at the house, if you think the children won't get into it?"

"That sounds good. Maybe in the study?"

"You mean the nook in the kitchen?" dryly "The study was my bedroom before it was the nursery."

"And you study in it" She reminds meaning the nook then a smile "YOu know we might alter that attic into a proper study if you like it. Not much head room but you're not tall"

"Thank you for that." again, dryly "It might be something to look into, at that. The way things are going we may need the room."

"Oh now, we don't have them here ALL the time" SHe moves to him and kisses him on the cheek "Despite my best efforts"

"Ah, but they will get older will they not? And bigger, with Caesar's input."

"Mmm some will take after their mothers, but you have a point. And thier hosue is on this street."

"Just so. The screen door will never shut."

She looks delighted "Won't that be lovely?"

"I cannot wait to see your joy in it."

A look at him "Maybe we should expand the attic or something added on so you have SOME haven"

"Oh, it will be decades before they can safely come here. I'll be dead by then." cheerfully.

"Coward" SHe huffs

"I ought to find some legendary potion to keep you alive an extra twenty years. That would teach you"

"That assumes I don't have a counter measure already planned." he points out.

"You are a very petty man at times, aren't you? "

"It's made me what I am today."

"Well, that'll teach me to fall in love with you" A kiss and then "Now, Earl was only here for tea. That makes it lunch soon. Guess I better get my apron on in our kitchen and make a little something for you"

"Care for a helping hand?"

"Promise to chase me around the kitchen now and then?"

"Happily, Dearest! Tell you what, I could pour a each a glass of wine. What are you making? I'll match it."

"I was thinking a dagwood sandwich" Amused "Got a wine for that?"

"Oh my, that almost calls for beer."

A deep chuckle "Well, Iwas also consideirng some casual apple fritters as a side dish. So.. go for whatever you like"

"Hmmm...." he toddles off to examine the options.

Quite a few, thanks to his connections with that fellow boggan, they have more than just the club stocked. And of course the beer is not that corporate swill that gets TV air time

He gets a Riesling on ice for the fritters, and chooses a couple local artesian beers for the sandwiches.

smells arise from the fritters as they cook, and he can see her working the engineering for his sandwich

He pours the beers and sets them on the table to wait for her. He does love watching, too.

She's taking her time with love and care and maybe enjoying the fact he is watching at that. "Sorry it's taking so long"

"Mmmm... anticipation is half the pleasure." he murmurs.

A pleased toss of her hair, but then the fritters are done, put on the side plate, and she brings it, and that monster sandwich up to him
