He paces. Someone unkind might say he waddles fiercely, like a pissed-off Penguin, and grumbles under his breath.

She's not unkind. Besides, she likes his jello like jiggle

"In the Shadow Court we made Vampire allies now and then"

He freezes, turns. "Do you know him?" calmly.

"No" She says "But... he might be related to a vampire I did know"

He sits. Heavily. "Do tell."

"There was a French Vampire... she dabbled with the Court"

"-She-?" clear on the pronoun.

"Yes. Désirée Picardy"

"Deniaud DeJanker..... any relation?" dry.

'i mean I think she's the one who brought him over... ah what do they call it?" She ponders "the implace? No that's not it"

"She made him a ... bloodsucker."

"Well, she's a blood sucker herself. It's how they procrate. I prefer our way"

"When absolutely necessary, yes, Dearest, the POINT remains....."

"No, the points are on the fangs" She says

"Take a careful look, Dearest Callidora. Do I look, in the least, amused?"

She looks him over "Kind of like an irrtated Elmber Fudd, but I love you anyway" she assures

A stare. No eyebrow. Just an eye.

"What do you want me to say?" She says "yes, it's bad"

"YES!" he explodes slightly, like a little volcano "IT IS!"

"So we vacation in South America?"

He takes a DEEP breath. "I need some time. Please excuse me."

He stands and exits.

"Oh I..dammit" she watches him go. Oncehe's gone, she lets her fear show openly.

She does it, however, near her Balefire. A wee one, mayhap, but... nevertheless.

And the fire shivers visibly

CC paces "I shouldn't have joked. I just... I don't know what to say"
