"Yes?" encouraging him along that train of thought.

"Well, I hear she's the hotness..." He says " So first impression, stalker. If he wants to possess her, he might try to remove any competition."

"That has been attempted, by removing her from the area. It failed. Hence, we are on guard, and looking for guards. Obsession may be a cause, yes."

"I mean... if she's seen going on a date, that would provoke whoever even more?" Filmore ponders "Sorry, just spitballing this"

"Only if he were to be aware of such a thing. We have intelligence that suggest he is not present the area; that would mean he would have agents watching us."

"Right. Sorry, sir. Just trying to figure out this guy's head space"

"Join the club, my boy."

"Right" Wheeler says "Anyway, Sir... I'd like the job. I hope I've impressed. Did you have any more questions for me?"

"I think not, at this time." he stands "I will in touch shortly, thank you for coming in, Mr. Wheeler." he offers his hand.

Wheeler takes it, shakes it, "Thanks for the chance" And he nods to the 'server' , smiles, and moves on

Stodgepole glances at the server as well, a question in his eye.

"Yes, I kind of want to screw him" She admits "that good boy in bad boy clothing is doing it for me"

"I can hardly object. That's not, however, why we would hire him." dryly.

"Not your type, I know" She drops in his lap "He seems talented if a bit roughly trained?"

"Mm!" pleased "I hope that is the last for the day? Yes, he does; at least, he asked some questions others didn't."

"Yes ,it's the last. We had one cancellation, and one guy annoyed Rocco so never made it to us"

"A cancellation?"

"The guy wanted to charge us 3 times the going rate which is possible, but then he demanded total control over the asset.. that's me"

"HA! And good luck to him, I say, and worth every penny of three times the going rate if he can manage -that-!!" he gives her a squeeze.

"MMmph! I'd have him thinking he was GA GA Gabor on a bender"

"Hmmm... " a thoughtful purr "Who recommended our cancellation?"

"Rocco had heard about him and gave him an invite for his interview... then boom"

"I'll need to talk to Rocco."

She's still in his lap "Well, he picked a good squad" Almost begrudging

"He has." William agrees "But I want to know more about our cancellation."

"Really?" A tilt of her head "Well, fun time will have to wait" She slides out of his lap

A wistful sigh of loss as she does. "You won't go too far, will you?"

"Why darling, CC your star risk herself? NO... now, Mitzy the hot drink server? Who knows?" A wicked wink then "I'll good.. enough" She sticks out her head in the hallway, her rear flaunting it's shape at him again "Rocco? The boss would like to see you?"

".... although he far prefers the current view...." William murmurs.

"Darn right" She mutters back "And darn well better"

Rocco enters in, taking off his hat "Boss? I got Hugh on watch"

"Excellent, come over, sit down. Drink?"

"Sure" he sits down

"I understand we had an interview cancellation?"

He motions for drinks for the serving girl.

"Yes sir. Guy wanted three times the pay, and control of the operations"

"Where did you find him?"

"Worked with him a long time ago, not a friend mind you, but he was solid. Heard he honed his skills. Didn't know he was a prima dona"

"I have a concern."

"Did he reach out to you, or you to him? If the latter, why?"

"The latter, we needed people, he had a good record" A tilt of rocco's head "Boss? You got that look like you're ready for a knife in the back"

"That is my usual expression, Rocco."

"However, yes, my questions have a point. Could he have been a double agent? Sent here to see what we were planning by this Evil Belgian Gentleman?"

"Well, if he is, he got shot down, but I don't think so"

"What did he learn?"

"That one of our singers was threatened and would need security" he says

"Mm. What else?"

Rocco 's brow knits as he tries to remember "The guy DID get curious, of course. Wanted to know about the singer. I told him it was our best singer. I didn't mention Miss CC's name but a bit of research on the Club would sure give him a clue that the best singer in CC's Ember Club is CC"

"The best vocalist in Kansas City." he corrects mildly "Indeed. So. He will know and perhaps carry elsewhere that we are hiring security for Miss CC, and may have an inkling of the sort of security we're looking for. Hmph."
