"Right, lot of study from home she says. Still, she also tells me if i t werenn't for you and CC helping out she'd be all childed out" Slowly she rises "Thank you for a wonderful meal. I hope the dross" She says that part quietly "Helps out around here now and then"

"A pleasure as always, Chief, in all things. Thank you for your kind gift. As much as I regret the possibilities in our next meeting, I'm honored to be asked."

"Well, like it or not, you've got ties to us" SHe nods "And grim news kindly recieved says much about you. Be well, you and yours" And she makes her way out

He sees her to the door, of course.

And out she goes

"Want me to follow her, boss?" Hugh asks . He could turn into a dog, a rottweiler isn't stealth personified, but he could easily track her

"No, I think not." Stodgepole says "She's something of an ally..... and she carries a heavy burden this day."

"Awww.. uhm want me to wag my tail at her? " He means cheer her up

Stodgepole reaches up and pats his shoulder, or arm at least. "No. Let her find peace with her troubles. They come to us all."

His chimerical tail goes down "Life is one of the trickiest board games there is" And he resumes work. Hugh's a goodboy!

Another pat, and Stodgepole puts one of the staff in change (they are all trustworthy....) and gets his things to go home for a few hours before the dinner service.

And so he goes. He knows Callidora will finish her class soon

And he -does- love her 'just-exercised' look. And feel, for that matter.

And in she comes, probably thinking she 'looks a mess' with that glow of excerise, hair tossled, and a bit of sweat on her brow she wipes at "Slave drivers, the lot of them"

"Mmm....." he has a smoothie freshly prepared for her; cool and full of healthy things. He brings it to her.

"Oh you're an angel" She says taking it

"You would not say that if you could see my thoughts." he smirks "At least, not a traditional angel."

"Oh please, I have sweaty thighs right now, how attractive can THAT be?" A sip to mask if she's smirkig or not

He chuckles darkly. "I think you know -exactly- how attractive your thighs, in any state, are."

"Some girls fish for compliments coyly, I use dynamite" She admits "Though I really should take a shower. How are things here?"

A wistful expression. "Shower. We'll talk when you're comfortable."

She sobers "Oh dear. I'll be quick then" And up she goes to shower

He considers the hour, and pours a glass of sherry.

She comes down fairly quickly for her, dressed casual and clean

He motions her to the couch and offers a sherry ".... if it won't clash with your smoothie?"

"No no," She says taking a seat "What's wrong?"

"Clem came by the Club this afternoon. Agnes's time is here. She has a bit less than a week, and plans to give herself to her Balefire." gently but directly.

A wince "I... guess as a satyr I can't throw stones. our usual prefered method is to party till we die. Still..." She shivers

"Clem gave me to understand she preferred choosing this over Forgetting."

"Stubborn woman, going out on her terms. I can respect Agnes for that" A thought "I can't say I want to see this, but I suppose I should. is there anything we're supposed to bring?" She takes the sherry

"I don't believe so."

"Lovely. I'm going to ask the grandkids NOT have to witness.. this" A frown

"Caesar is invited as well, as am I. It is an event for the close family but they didn't want to exclude you and Caesar. They might ask you to maintain a small distance."

"I think that's for the best" She nods "Oh dear. Oh dear. I actually LIKE that sour faced old woman. Is that weird?"

He chuckles. "Not in the least; you have, in some ways, questionable taste. Me, for example."

She snerks "Got me there there" But also leans into him "I just ... I know when it gets my time I will NOT be so gracious"

"Mmm....." he pets her gently, making room for her against him "Nor I."

"You don't get to go before me." She informs him "I'm not done with you yet"

"Perish the thought." He promises.

"Good" And she kisses him throughly to make it stick

He kisses her back.

"Not to change the mood...." when they part ".... but will you talk to Caesar or shall I? I believe Clem was going to speak to April and she may pass word along..."

"Well, April will probably tell him then" She observes "And it might be fitting it come from her .They're about as hitched as a satyr wil lbe"

Stodgepole nods, then looks at her more closely "Do you really think so?"

"That she should give the news, or that they're about as hitched as a satyr can be? So so yes to the first, likely yes tothe second, but I could be wrong"

A faint smile. "That they are as closed to hitched, as you say, or that satyrs never quite get hitched?"

"Well, it would likely be an open marriage and there is a satyr oath of true hearts" She blushes

"Mm." he tucks a tendril of her hair behind her ear.

"Not everyone can 'settle' for that" She admits

A chuckle "Hardly 'settling.'"
