"It's okay, Agnes, it happens to us all" CC continues talking

"Me? Clem barely knows me" CC observes

William drops the top edge of his newspaper to watch.

"Oh good lord. no , Agnes, I don't blame you. You maybe traditional in your way but not every hang up the wilders have is OUR fault. If you tthink I can help, I will. Emerson is champing at the bit to move up my time slot anwyay"

NOW he puts the paper down entirely.

"Oh yes, he's listening now, it's his nature, adorable. "

"Is she well?" he asks with concern for Agnes's wellbeing.

"It's Clem she's worried about" CC covers the phone for a sec "Silly girl was freaking out about a quest she sent someone on, now he's alive and she's realizing why she cares and it's all very dramatic... but she's not listening tto Agnes so..."

".... so she's not focused. Good Gods." disgusted "What's needed?"

"Sec" She talks on Agnes "Mmm oh yes, Agnes, we'll drop by, both of us possibly"

He rises from his easy chair and trundles about to get warm clothes, a thermos of hot cocoa, a basket of goodies.... is he planning a trip to Grandmother's house!??!

"You're welcome, Agnes" She hangs up

"I'll want a few of my special ingredients, i think. Do you wish to change?"

"I suppose I best" She say"s "Blue jeans, Casual...

"Yes, but -warm-" he insists firmly "Layers."

"I have leg fur" She reminds, thouh really hers are more below the knees

"And a touch of glory it is, all the more so since it will be warmly encased." still firm, the little tyrant.

a huff "you are the most infuriating man." She does however go to get a sweater and thicker jeans

He is outfitted quickly, himself, and has her coat, hat, gloves, scarf, all waiting for her.

She grabs them "i'm going to baste in this when we're indoors" She does get them though

"Dearest, I have never objected to you taking clothes off when the mood strikes you." mildly.

She smirks "okay, that smooth. Respect for that one"

He kisses her (gloved) hand and leads her to the car and thence the Trod and thence..... The FarmHold.
