Kyle has felt quite unseelie since Samhain, and he's not shaking it, nor is he sure he wants to. Brenda is setting in his lap dressed in a tight little dress that shows off her lush curves.

"Thanks for having us over, CC," He says, "Emerson." Not hard to read his body language and mood. He is proud to have this woman, Emerson can see he's already planning how to use her raw sex appeal to their mutual advantage... he is in advertising. Ideas can't help but come up

And Brenda laps up the idea of being used like a cat going at cream, but she's not dimmed by serving. She knows how to pull those over her, how to play the neck that turns the head, "yes, it's been so grand of late"

"I'm glad to find you both in fine fettle, then." he smiles as he pours the drinks.

"Can't seem to shake my samhainess," he smirks "is that a word? Anyway, doubt I'd be fit company at the lodge right now. We may yet have to pick a house. Here or Earth Runes full time."

"Both full of annoying bossy folks who think they know best for us," Brenda pouts

"There -is- a big, grand world out there at your disposal. If you choose it." He brings a tray with pitcher and glasses on it over to them.

"Trying to get us to move here, Emerson?" He grins. Brenda pours drinks for both of them with the picture, "I'm not sure It's safe for Lily"

"Not that Lily needs us much, sluagh childlings appear to be self reliant" Brenda mmphs "Sure got a guilt trip for it before. Still, she's sained now."

"Oh, I'm sure you'd be welcome in the area!" he chuckles and takes a seat; if Brenda wishes to serve, who is he to object? "Kansas City is a small pond, with many tributaries; 'All trods lead to Firnost' as they say."

"Well, Dame Bondraste might fuss, sweet old Fiona lady, but she's often fretting over us." He ponders "Good heart htough"

"Yes, Adam adored her and she was awlays kind enough, but Adam needed her more than we do" His wife says, stroking Kyle's arm "I mean, I've got you to take care of me. I don't need her."

"I would hope you are each an independent sufficiency.... and together, what could you not achieve?"

"Oh, Brenda is quite resourceful," He kisses her wife modestly. Being a satyress, she has none of it and makes it deeper

Emerson is bemused and not at all awkward. He sips his drink and glances to the kitchen.

CC seems to approve, and as they part she says "Indeed. Brendas a gem. I really appreciate how you let her be the satyr fate meant her to be. Few men are..strong enough" Ah yes, CC knows how manipulate the ego

"mmm" but he likes the sound of that being a strength, a wicked look in his eyes at soemthing. A notion. The boggan can see it, some ideas are even easier to accept than others for him

Emerson rises casually and goes to where CC improves the doorway, to take her hand and kiss it. As he lifts his gaze, she can see the question in his eyes.

She looks amused, and is totally unhelpful, deffering to him to see which way he jumps. It's more than that, of course. She.. looks proud, of him. It would appear that corruption he urged along on Samhain stuck

"Is dinner ready?" he asks innocently.

"Yes, actually, I hope a nice brisket tickles all fancies"

"I do love your slow-roasted brisket." he agrees, and glances over at the other couple "Join us? I believe dinner is served."

"Oh, thank you," Brenda slides off her husband then takes his hand

KYle shakes his head, not in the negative, but as if he's not sure he can believe the ideas in his head.

Emerson toddles off to the kitchen ahead of CC to help with serving; she can play hostess for a bit.

Emerson will be delighted to overhear the conversation that he returns to.

"Frankly, I think part of the problem in portraying nobles as villains is villians still have appeal," Kyle says "Some part of us admires them. If I were marketing democracy, I'd play up that leaders are often idiots, especially feudal leaders. Break the respect through mockery..." A sip "We've all seen atl east one idiot with a crown on. Make the idiots seem the norm. "

Emerson stands in the doorway with a tray of lasagna in his mitted hands, blue-screened.

"Start out gentle, make a story where some king keeps screwing up, clueless, and the real hero is the poor servant who keeps it all together..." he continues "Folks will feel sorry for the butler or whatever who is the only one with a brain cell, get folks liking him... then, slowly, make the king and his court less 'cute stupid' and have them kick the dog a bit...it will make folks HATE that noble character. It's a classic bait and switch. 'You thought this dullard was at least funny well meaning? Oh... no, he's actually a dick'" Kyle continues

"That's MARVELOUS, darling," Brenda flatters, "See how clever he is, CC?"

"Oh, it's got variations" he shrugs

CC nods "I like it. You have a creative mind, Kyle, but then Iguess in your line of work, you'd have to." She turns "Oh hi, Emerson. Kyle's just speculating"

"I caught some of that." he restarts and enters with the main course "It sounds interesting if.... well, forgive me. Shall we enjoy?"

He sets the tray down.

"Oh yes..." And they set down to enjoy the meal as it's served

CC is, as ever, a gracias hostess, and Emerson matches her well when he wishes to.

Emerson pours red wine and offers salad around while CC serves her layered pasta.

"I wonder, Kyle, have you heard of the Crownbuilder series? Fantasy novels."

"Can't say I have. Any good?"

"Some low-key popularity. Underground interest, that sort of thing."

"I think there was a recent book tour but not really in this area. To the west."

"Oh indie publishing is a night mare for the big guys" he smiles "So may ways to self promote. Be happy to read it"

"I will see you leave with a set of the current works." with a smile. And he takes a sip, and a bite.

"Dandy"

Emerson eats for a bit, allowing conversation to flow.

The meal is glorious, the conversation is pleasannt. Kyle is much more agreeable and interesting . A conniver who works angles expertly

Emerson does enjoy that, although he doesn't let it be seen. He's seelie, after all.

Ok.... un-curious.

He watches the interaction between Brenda and CC, too.

There's a litle playful sexual tension, but much of it is Brenda playing the girl on girl to both please, and to some degree, control her husband. She is Kyle's , eager to serve, yet she also influences him shamelessly
