"Oh we have to bring them both out so you don't know which is which" CC says "Shall we bring it in one one tray, hon?" A look to Emerson

"As you wish, Miss CC." And with a glance and gesture he invites her into the kitchen.

Zara sparkles. "They are both very good cooks... oh, Mr. STodgepole once made me this babka..."

CC does say "I know.. he's ANNOYINGly talented" proud and then she goes in with her gent

Emerson allows CC all the room in the kitchen to prepare and serve.

And they come out with the trade... on one side...

A bit dry, even with the sauce, and some veg on the side.

"Oh wow. I.. won't say I can't eat all that. but my goodness" Earl blinks

Zara sniffs, curious, though it holds little appeal.

Actually, Zara migght find the second a bit appealing

Brows lift.

And earl is already digging in. Oh farmboy starts with the steak and makes happy sounds. then he tries some aspargus ,which he likes, then turns his attention to the second dish, akes a chomp and..

He makes a small choke sound as his expression sours

The boggan looks...irked.

Zara.. sneaks a fingerful of the sauce.

(The sauce is Meh)

"Ah.. " Earl says "It's .. interesting"

CC says "Interesting how?"

"It's.. ah..the blend is not what I expected" He hedges

"Mmm?"

"It's a bit rank" He apologies

"I am so sorry whoever made this one but there's something wrong with it"

"Well, the soup is delightful."

The boggan looks sour.

"Okay, I'm taste this." She says "Begging pardon" And CC has a clean fork and takes a bit., then offers her love the same fork to try it and gets a napkin

Emerson waves the offer off, and starts to clean things.

"I think there might have been a mistake with the ingredients. I've had both of your meals beore and they're ALWAYS excellent"

CC moves to Emerson and whispers "Honey you okay?"

Which Zara can hear, of course

"Fine!"

He turns, and bows."I concede, Dearest. Willingly."

She focuses on her soup!

He kisses Miss CC's hand.

Earl is uncomfortable then says "Ah, Zara woudl you like to try this? "Indicading the trouble food "maybe you would like..."

"Oh, nay... it is too fresh. But I would gladly take it home?"

"Bah. Please... allow us to provide you something more fitting."

"As you wish, sir."

The boggan packs things up without hastling the table; the meal fit for enjoyment is to be savored.

Zara does eat every drop of soup!

And it softens the bread nicely.

Earl feels a bit self concious but eats , clearly enjoying CC's meal

And Emerson... doens't seem THAT MUCH upset.

CC snuggles emerson gently

then says "Earl, tahnk you so much for coming here, you two, Zara, as you both know , any bad meal from here is atypical maybe sometime he and I can try againn and this time have a closer contest"

Ooooo... the pots get an EXTRA scrubbin!

"I.. thank you." He says

"And congratulations, both of you" CC says

Zara glows!
