"I hope I did not wake you with my tossing and turning?"

A kiss "Not the type of tossing I enjoy you doing with me, but I'll live"

He snorts with amusement.

"Now you settle. We'll have a meal and a talk mm? "

"A talk?" she gets an eyebrow, but he sits.

"Yes"

"What were you dreaming about?" She joins him

"Oh, you know how dreams are. It's faint."

"Mm" She nods

He sips his coffee.

"I thought I heard you cry out Caesar's name" She says after a bit

He blinks at her. "Wrong Carollos, I would think?"

"Not cry out like that" She laughs

"Mind you, I'm as game as the next boggan but that is positively -GREEK- if you don't mind my saying....."

"Borderline tragic" She says "you sounded angry with him. Not that we haven't had angry sex. Remember that argument over the Oxford Comma?"

"In which you were wrong, and lost?" he smirks.

"Ffft"

"At least you can admit it now." He consoles her, sipping his coffee.

"Never, nyet, nada AND no" A grin

He sighs. "Not just a river in Egypt....."

"But... my point is, you sounded irked with my son."

"Dearest, I assure you, I don't recall my dreams clearly and I am not currently irked with him, as you say. Have you spoken with him recently?"

"No. Maybe I should. " She looks worried "Someimes a mother has a 6th sense about some things. You know, we see foolish children" A whisper to mime a certain movie

He takes her hand. "Dearest, do -you- think something is amiss? Perhaps what you thought was me calling after Caesar was your own projection?"

"Maybe" she looks uncertain "it's very late " thinking of callilng him "he's probably sleeping"

"It's so late it is early, and you will not sleep till you hear his voice." He points out gently. "Call him."

"you realize I'm using you for approval for my selfishness, right?" JUST a touch of guilt

"You realize I am quite content to be used? Go on. I'll mind the kitchen and food."

"thank you, love" A kiss

He smiles and goes to check on the food while she makes a phone call.

He manages to avoid spying directly while she is on the phone.... but, one cannot expect to go -deaf- after all.....

"Fort Davis? Sparrow??"

"Well, glad she's okay..."

"What do you mean oppoortunities? "

He rescues the food and plates it, and pours drinks, and considers snapping the radio on but doesn't.

And she hangs up "Sparrow is ruling the former Barony of Dry Tears. My son wants to help"

"He.... help what?"

"Help them with houses mosly I suspect, maybe an art center for kids" She says

"Help.... that Sparrow person?"

"Yes." She says and breaks out out some booze for him

It's a little early for that, but he's not complaining; it better be brown booze.

He's going to sulk.

"He's just helping hte kids there WITH her, it's not like he's encouraging the monarchy"

"Yes, but what is the message the little darlings will take away with them?"

"IF we're lucky, they'll just be Caesar fans"

"Real estate in Bergen, well, that was just funny.... but this......"

"Bah." he sets the drink aside. "My apologies, Dearest. Here you've made a wonderful meal. Let's enjoy it and I'll take my sour mood away later."

"Oh you be sour all you want" She says "Who am I to tell you to fake passions?" She proceeds to spoil him
