He makes himself busy nearby till the door is locked.

CC moves to him "Not a bad night for the new normal"

"I can only hope it will get better, Dearest." He takes her into his arms. "Now, I have a favor to ask."

"Oh?" She says "Fine. I'll scream More Guillotine in French at the right moment"

A chuckle. "No, no... well, yes, fine. But first.... will you sing for me?"

"You're not just saying that to make me feel better?" but her eyes sparkle

"I am -absolutely- doing it to make you feel better.... and, because I miss your voice and I want to hear it." He steps backwards and takes her hand to pull her along. "Will you?"

"Yes, right now?" She is pulled along

"Yes, please." They wind through the tables and stacked chairs of the empty Club to the Balefire room.....

..... and there are Bertand and the (small) staff, drinks in hand. They rise when Callidora enters, and applaud.

She sings, bumping against him, "Don't tell me that you don't like

Then they enter, and she sees the crowd and laughs and belts out the rest

Her William beams, and brings her a glass of water for her throat. "Another." he asks.

She takes a sip, then says "Does anyone mind if I sing another?"

Everyone cheers and urges her to sing some more. And CC lights up, and obliges all

He tries to hide it, but she can see the glow of pride and pleasure around her boggan as she performs for this select audience. Bertand's ideas might wait for another night; he'd like to see the prototypes at work, and figure out payment. For now, at least, this is enough.

Betrand is as caught up in the music as anyone. Yes, she can distract even nockers from their work.

And she does, between another 'set' lay a big kiss on William "Love you" she says with an intense vulnerabilty

"We should make a habit of it." He suggests. "And elsewhere we might find an understanding audience. There -is- Firnost......"

"I suppose there is" She nods "now and then"

"Let me see what I can do. After all...... " a kiss to her hand "..... it's almost fall."

A soft purr "Yes. Well. Much to do there"

And something of a party has broken out, a small one, but, who cares? Quality over quantity
