CC shares a little of her life, mostly with Caesar becoming a dad, and her plans for performance, but betrays nothing about any .. other activities that Emerson and she sometimes work on.

They may, it's possible, go away thinking Emerson is nice, but a touch drab. Though the professor seemed to enjoy the near debate.

After the dessert is praised, they do check the time and apoloize "I'm afraid we really should head back," Marsha says

"Quite" Her husband says, "It was nice to get out though. Please let us know if you know of any satyrs who are moving to the Bergen area."

"Oh I will keep an eye out," CC promises

"I do hope this won't be your last visit." Smoothly.

"Oh, probably not," Cornelius says "Maybe I'll bring a copy of one of my books for you to enjoy, at least I hope you enjoy it. I fear the Chieftain feels it a triffle exposing. "

"She's modest, but really, darling" Marsha says to her husband, "We should come for the company, not the debates."

"There's a difference?" he jokes

"I would very much like to read it." With a twinkle.

"Well, thank you" he says, "See, Marsha. Some people know how to enable me properly."

He gets a light swat on his arm for that, and they head out.

Emerson walks them out.

When he returns, CC is waiting for him, "That was fun! you didn't kill Cornelius did you? I won't get a visit from Marsha again if you kill her husband."

"I did not, the pompous fool." He puffs and settles into the booth to rake his eyes over her form with appriciation.

"Oh now, he's very intelligent, and an acclaimed expert in his field, and not a bad lay" She says but her eyes sparkle "He is a bit pompous though isn't he?"

"Firnost hasn't been a democracy in over a decade!"

"Wait, you have sampled each other?" Not in the least jealous.

"mmm hmmm" She nods "They have a rather open marriage, and frankly, the old goat has a gift with Co-Eds that would get him fired this day and age if he weren't sly about it. I've had better, but I've had worse. He does love to debate though, its his passion. His writing his better than his rhetoric."

A chuckle. "You can be quite the cougar yourself, Dearest." Approvingly.

"Oh, Marsha is fun too" A smile "And thank you. Oh, and that old goat is smart enough to be good at chicanery. He's quite aware there's all kind of powers"

"Is that a note of warning?"

"Nope. Not really dear." She says "Honestly, while I didn't expect you killed him really... I know you could. YOu're far more powerful than he, magic wise and otherwise. " She pats his hand "However, IF he ever needs to be used, you should know his capablities."

A sly smile. "Planting sleepers in Rivervale? Perish the thought...."

A grin "Leaving that to me eh?"

"I can tell the truth to a Gwydion this way." Smirk.

"Yes, I do find it interesting that they are hoping to get a trago there. Why, someone might be tempted to make reccomendations of select Satyrs"

"Wouldn't know anything about that." Smug.

"Cerrtainly not, Satyr biz" A hurumph

and a nudge

He leans over and kisses her. "You take such good care of me."

"And you me, but slightly pompous moments aside, did you enjoy having them over? "

"I think I did. Interesting to stretch my acting chops again."

"You did very well, not too bland, but still a touch overlooked" She says "Part of me was tempted to draw you into the conversation more, but I know you have your preferences."

"Inconspicuous." He confirms.

"Yes, and the less they remember you, the less likely they are to mention you to anyone else in Rivervale" A wink

"Just so. -You-, on the other hand...."

"I don't do bland well," she smiles "Worried talk of me will get around?"

"Worried it won't."

"You heard Masha, she's satyr blooded but she gossips pretty darn well. A few phone calls from me thanking her for coming over, or offering one of your dessert recipeies ,and I'll get mentioned for sure if you wish"

A sigh. "Nooo.... if it happens, it happens. At least for now."

"You just don't want to share your dessert recipe with a reformer loyalistt family" Teasing

A chuckle. "I would be happy to."

"I've kept contact with the Wayburtons for over a year because they're handy, also, I do like them." An admission

"Apparently so." Dry.
