Zara is grateful for the distance from the main stage. The music is lovely, but her ears are delicate. She has not been here for some time. And yet, here she is.

Emerson, as always, is respectful of her peculiar palate. She rather enjoys the watercress.

CC smiles, "Thanks for coming, zara. I had been very curious on what you two had been up to."

Earl says "We enjoy going out, and, complimentary meal and good music can draw even two introverts out."

"And it is good to see old friends, aye."

"Well, Emerson is occupied, and I know he regrets it, but I know we both hope you enjoy it all. So, how's college?" She asks.

"Oh, aye. Fine. Vassar is a good school."

"I hear it's library is rich, but me? I get caught up in music programs." CC says with a smile, "And you , Earl? "

"The art goes well, thank you. Sometimes I feel..a block. I can push around it, but I worry it's not my best" Earl admits.

"Curse of the creative need vs the limits of the creator. I'm sure you're doing better than you think- we're our own worst critcs" She says kindly

"Oh, the library... I will be frank, I think the library is why I chose it."

"Go on," A smile, "is it awash with kithain book lovers or do you have a lot more of it to yourself?"

"There are other fae there. Two freeholds."

"Yes, the pocket ...that one surprised me" She says "The noble hold? AH well, no surprise that there would be one"

"Aye. Both are.. fine."

CC ' raises a brow "You say fine like most say bland."

"They are not bland. The Pocket is quite busy. And crowded."

"Ah, and loud" She says sympathetic. "And the noble hold?"

"Presumptive" earl says. Perhaps he is covering for her by being the one to 'slip' or perhaps he really just blurted lightly?

A sniff.

"Eiluned."

"Ah," She nods "A bit of a double standard with them. They respect no one's secrets but their own." A tisk

"Nosy. Without manners."

"You know, you two should come over more often if you ever need a haven. I can always arrange the quiet seats be ready for you" CC says kindly "We tend to not get many Eiluned here either. I mean, I did see one in Kansas City proper recently, but that was another part of the city."

"Firnost? " Earl guesses.

"I avoid the gaze of the nobles as best I may. I would not be their chattel."

"Oh no no, the Public Library" She says

Then she nods "That, kitten, is because you have sense," CC smiles fondly.

"He has commoner spies. Makes it difficult to trust any kithain you meet."

"Is there no rest?" CC fusses, "Well, we keep an eye out here, but I thank you for the warning and my offer is still good. As for the one I met, No, she was nosing around using cantrips on librarians to see if there was something called the... oh..what was it? The Weird Sisters Book of Shadows"

"Whatever that is" She shrugs

Eyebrow.

"Really." Dry.

CC smiles, "Dumb act isn't going to work, is it? Okay. I admit, my first thought was Shakespeare."

Then more seriously, "But as to the Eiluned, and her inquiry; yes- really"

"Well, it is certainly not for some moon-strewn sidhe."

"She says thought it was, and played a bit rough with the librarian to seek what she wanted" CC says "Now, Book of Shadows, isn't that just another term for Spellbook? Very in with wicca"

"It is not for the likes of her. No matter how they feel entitled to anything that takes their fancy."

"if there really were Weird Sisters...ala Shakespere or Pratchet for that matter, and they had a spellbook, it might be of great interst to House Eiluned, or anyone really" Earl says

CC eyes Zara, "Careful, Kitten Or people will notice your claws are longer than they think," But while the words advise caution, she looks..proud?

"Aye, aye..." A frown.

"Forgive. My patience is strained."

"nothing to forgive, Zara, unless it's its I who should ask. I was curious what you thought about, but I don't mean to agitate you. Whatever Countess Huaralyis plans are for the book, she's not got it yet at least, but I shouldn't have brought it up if it was going to dim your time here."

"It shall not. I shall keep an eye open for her."

"I appreciate, frankly she didn't look like the sterotypical eiluned. More barbie style... blonde hair, voluptious, and blue eyed. Very pretty, of course, beyond beautiful, but not what I think of for the house's typical appearance. Despite that look, she did not seem to be interested in plying her looks to her advantage."

"I see."

Earl is dining, but he does look curious "And the book, are you hoping it for yourself?"

"Why Earl," CC says surprised, "you've grown cynical."

He blushes
