"The thing about satyrs is, of course, they are satyrs. Free spirits, part of the attraction, of course, but.... monogamy is not something they do well." Gently.

"I suppose, but of course I am SPeaking to Mister CC" A smile "Or so the childlings called you? If I recall"

Another chuckle. "I have been called worse."

"ANd there is some concern about how to adapt Satyrs to farm living if they choose that"

"Ah. Well. I have not spoken with Caesar regarding that. He is young, yet, with a thriving career that requires him to travel. I am not sure he's suited to farm living, but I have not spoken with him regarding his intentions."

"As much as you have confided in me about your clan's withdrawal from war, let me share that this Club is my own retirement project. As I age, I find myself increasingly desirous of a home, and stability; a propensity of my Kith."

"I see... perhaps I shouldn't pay too much attention to past rumor then sir. I apologize if I came in with too much suspicion in my heart" Then "And I doubt Caesar will want to move to the farm, but yes I think he'll be a welcome frequent visitor" A sigh "I do worry April has more than an itch for him though. She may have to.. adapt to satyr life style or she could end up broken hearted despite her assertions"

Emerson nods. "Well. They are both able to make their own decisions, and be responsible for them."

"You may not have noticed, Emerson, but I have been accused by those who know me of being a wee bit bossy" a smile "A kind man once told me I had 'leadership tendencies ' and I much prefered his way of saying so

A chuckle. "I was right." He points out without false modesty.

"You were," she smiles "But you always did have a keen eye for the facts what was coming and not just what was. " She nods "You sure you don't want some warding for your club or home? It's in our own self interest as well as our family will have stronger ties here in return."

"Well, I have several spots I may lay my head to rest, but I'm not sure I have authority to say yes to that offer.... however, I will speak with Miss CC about it. For the sake of the children, after all."

"Which is proper" She nods "You two have really made this club grow. Saw a website of the top 10 Jazz clubs in the Midwest, You guys were number four. "

A smug nod. "One tries."

"Mind you, Chief or not, I'd be disowned if I declared anyone's porkchops superior to Aunt Agnes"

"But your food is mighty good as well, sir"

"Well thank you! I would like to meet your Aunt Agnes sometimes, it strikes me that we could have an exchange."

"Now that is.. a darn good idea. " She says "I'll see what I can do for it. "

"Thank you!"

Clem looks troubled, "Sir. I'd not begrudge curiousity of anyone... but there was this patch of sanguine flowers I planted. WOuld you perchance know where they went?"

Emerson looks slowly abashed. "Oh dear. Were they in the Firnost garden?"

"Yes sir. And I realize that's fair game for anyone"

"Am I to understand these flowers have been.. put to some use?"

"Terribly sorry, my dear, how can I make up for it? Ah. Yes. Well." Sheepish. "I do like to treat Miss CC once and a while. I gave her a bouquet."

"No need sir. What we won't do for our other halves mm? I just had a feeling it might have been you, and I'll remember my placement is something an invitation"

He spreads his hands in a shrug. "It seemed to be in public domain. I -do- apologize. Miss CC was very taken with them."

"It was it was' She says "The fault was mine. I just got curious. " A slight wince at something but very slight. "And I'm glad Miss CC liked em"

"She might not want to try to keep them in water too long. That..type of flower does not maintain well"

"I will make a note of it." He sips his drink. "Do I take it, then, that our black and silver friends have been appropriately managed?"

Clem bites her lip, then "They will be providing false information to their lord and when the time is right, worse..or better"

A slow smile. "Please let your Mountain know I look forward to our eventual meeting, when the time comes."

"Would you like me to arrange it sooner rather than later?" she says

"Oh, I imagine there is no rush, but when the time is right and he's available, yes." Genially.

"mmm" She looks about, "I supose he might enjoy watching pretty young things sing and dance."

"Delightful! Yes, please let him know our Club is open to him."

"I will... i nfact, he might time today. Sometimes we encourage our own to go out and about so bedlam is held back. It's getting close to his day" She rises "Thank you for the drink, how much do I owe you?"

"On the house." He assures her, standing as well to escort her out. "As will the Mountain's visit. It is the least we can do!"

"Well, sir, when Miss CC is available, let her know I said I think sh'es going to be a wonderful grandmother"

A warm, genuine smile. "I will."

And out she goes.

Bill can assess... Clem is not as good at subterfuge as she needs to be, but she knows that and does not try too hard. She is certainly better than she was. Perhaps a friendship with a sluagh and a need to be political have combined to help. She was not overly distressed about the flowers but might have inwardly cringed from her sloppiness leading to it.

He makes a mental note to get them out of water......

And maybe find a place to dispose of the corpses should they revert

That's something to ponder. It maybe something that doens't concern him- but since when has that stopped him?

Thoughtfully he ambles around the Club, seeking CC.

CC has fnished up and soon joins him, after leaving a dozen others panting, of course.

"I think we just got a good review" She informs him "For singing even" A wink

He chuckles and pulls her closer to kiss. "Interesting visit just now...."

A kiss given happily and then "mmm?"
