He squeezes her hand, releases it, and steps away to the office door.

She pulls him in for one kiss, and then lets him go.

It ends up as a cheek kiss but he doesn't struggle at that. Then he shoulders his backpack and is gone. A few moments later, she hears a noise that she knows is the front door opening, closing, and locking.

CC wraps her arms about herself, and slumps on the floor, despite wearing a very nice dress
