Once he leaves CC does laugh softly

William manages to keep it at a deep, rolling chuckle.

"Oh my, my son." She shakes her head "How did he become so kind? It's certainly not from me"

"Oh, you have your soft spots, Dearest." He warns her. A pause. "He -is- more aware than you might think."

A sigh "Yes, I suppose I Have my own blindspots. He'll always be my little boy. Oh, What do we do if he starts talking?"

"Obviously not what I usually would." He twirls his wine and sips.

"Obviously" she says "And thank you. I love him, but he doesn't realize how...he thinks because the accordance war is long gone and David is on his throne that certain forces will behave. He sees the best of people"

"-David-..." heavy with scorn "... is hiding from whatever haunts him. Useless." Bitterly.

"I'm inclined to agree. The emperor has no clothes.. which would be comedy if it weren't for the fact those under him.. mmmph I need to stop this train of thought. " A pondering "I think it's time to find some distractions for my son."

"More women?"

"It's one option" She admits "I'll give him a damn harem if I have to."

"Why not send him to the DeBukes? I rather gather it would cause a feeding frenzy." Sip.

She laughs at that

Then "Are you joking?"

He thinks a moment. "Not entirely. It -would- distract him."

"I'll..mmm.. yes. Need to talk to Ryker... and there are childlings on the DeBuke farm... if any of them are on Caesar's fan club." She gives her lover a quick kiss "This is something we can work with until or if we find better."

He returns the peck. "My pleasure. And possibly his. As for something better, a new career challenge? A quest?"

"Maybe.... real estate might send him traveling, but there are ..well, I'd miss him. Quest? Perhaps..." A sigh "One day I will stop fussing over him. Probably my next life. Come on, let's get to work. I have a show soon, and you? Well, I want you to wrangle various ego wars in our staff." A smile, a stroke, and she slips away
