"No. The Baroness here often fights against this tradition. She does not wish to be made a fool. Ever." Thirteen whispers to Earl. "But often the night gets exciting."

"They don't? You don't? " The satyr spins her around. "I have no doubt the night will get better. Traditions do not like to be broken." He gives Zara charming grin.

"Well, it's a right shame it is " Whispering back, knowing 13 can hear it, "That she's feeling a might insecure and slow to be the partaking."

"Tradition has strength, aye..." a soft gasp as she's spun, a flash of a grey smile.

The satyr takes her hand then and steps away, one hoof forward as he goes to bow to Zara. His hat falling almost wickedly forward. A rose being offered to the sluagh. "I am going to move on to the next lady, but perhaps you will allow me another dance in a bit?"

(He approaches Earl and Thirteen, to offer each a cup as the song ends and before the next one begins)

"This court always seems to right itself. You have only to wait and watch sir." Then she turns to spy Ice. She gives a nod, excepting the cup.

She takes the rose, blushing again. "I... yes... perhaps.."

"Surprised to see you here." (To Earl, as he offers up a full cup of punch)

A wink from behind the satyrs highway man styled cloth mask, and he is off. A bit of energy to his capering.

He takes the cup, and sees Zara , a wistful sigh, then he shakes his head," then I have achieved a rare thing. How are you?"

(The music is a classic, Renaissance style -- definitely not Ice's cuppa)

The spoken to ICE,

"Constrained." (Staring up) "This is my first Carnivale. Not too impressed." (Rasped) "But, probably wouldn't like it if it were louder, either, so shouldn't complain, nu?"

Zara drifts, looking to get a closer glance at the baroness and her advisor...

"Likely," If his dance with 13 is done, he says "Pardon me... thank you for the dance."

There is a sudden ruckus at one of the doors to the hall. A group of satyrs it seems are trying to get past. Guards and the protocol cantrips seem to be keeping them back. In their center is a mortal man. He seems to be more than intoxicated"Long live the king..." Some one croaks out.

Zara can see the Baroness and her Advisor standing, looking towards the doorway. The Baroness is gesturing, clearly upset with the latest intrusion.

(His eyes widen, then his grin is wide. He grabs the nearest Fae to him -- which happens to be Earl -- in his excitement, and hisses) "Quick. Dance with me."

((The music playing:))

With them distracted... Zara looks to go to the dias behind the sidhe.

"You are so not who I hoped for... " He explains in a whisper to ICE, but surely enough starts to whirl the guy around, not caring if itl ooks good, and whispers "Which way?"

"Doesn't matter. Not so fast, I'll be sick, though." (He scowls at Earl, then using the dance as the bunk -- he lifts his cane, and taps himself on the forehead, in a salute to the group by the door) ((Bunk Level?))

(He will take a minute, if he has to, not caring either how ridiculous this looks)

(And when the Glamour is released -- at the same moment he will let go of Earl, and step back, offering a sardonic bow, both arms out, cane in hand)

With all the grace of an acrobat (or a thief), the pierrot takes off her dunce cap - white, with three pompoms and a small brim, accorded all tradition - and, from behind, places it firmly on the baroness's head. "M'lady Fool, thou didst forget thy cap. "

The baron steps back as well.. getting a hint it might be a good time to blend in the crowd

She drops into a deep bow, spidery hand splayed across her chest. "Pierrot honors thee, Lady Fool."

(Ice turns to watch, eyes sharp, a wide and twisted grin on his face)

The Baroness gasps as the satyrs suddenly break through the door. The guards suddenly allowing them by with a cheer. A large drunken man is settled on the Baroness's chair as the crowd surges forward. The advisor and Baroness now fool, over come by the crowd. The party is started in earnest as the noble becomes the focus of mockery, and the drunken kings words are suddenly taken as law. The music is cranked up as satyr take over and laughter suddenly fills the once sedate halls.

(His eyes come to rest on Zara, and -- realizing whose hat is on the Baroness' head -- his jaw first drops, then -- he laughs. It is a full-on laugh, harsh and grating)

The satyr who danced with Zara before embraces her and swings her about. "I think I am in love!" Before he clatters off once more. Many others in the crowd turn to offer her their gratitude.

Thirteen stands back. Way back, simply watching. Her red eyes glittering like the rubies on her costume.

Cheers for Zara, though he does not name her! "Your majesty, your most loyal knight has assisted thee," He bows to the mortal king

Zara is suddenly very glad of her ear plugs, blushing, but trying her best to be game with all the attention - whirled from partner to partner.

The drunken king waves his hands in the air. "Free rounds on the house! Where am I again?" Looking a little dazed.

Earl makes sure he is one of those partners, slipping in line ... he doesn't expect to keep her long, but hey, if you can't dance with the savior of the party, it's a sad night.

(He now moves back away from the crowd, although -- well, if he encounters the blushing bogganess, he might ask her for a quick whirl)

The boggans are there. Zara might have saved the party, but it seems Ice still has a small fan club. The bogganess is more than happy to dance. Dreamy even!

"Earl!?!"

The Baroness/Fool..is surrounded by her subjects. A frown playing over her stern face, but it is clear she has given into the traditions of the night.

"Baron" He counters with a wink, and glad she whispers or his disguise would have been broken, "Baron Samedi...rum drinking loa of the land of the dead that likes it lively."

(He tries for Courtly, although his every movement shows amused mockery of it, not directed at her, of course -- but inherent in the flourish of the top hat, and the way he holds his cane stiffly under his arm, even while spinning her about)

"And Pierrot, yes." Well, one partner gets a longer spin than the rest...

Thirteen sits up at a table. A pack of tarot cards making their out. For the few that want it, she lays out the cards for drunken mortals and fae a lie. For a tiny fee of course.

(And at the end, he gives her hand a cold kiss, grinning a sardonic, amused grin at the faux-formality of it)

The boggan giggles and moves back to her friends. One can imagine she is not going to wash that glove ever again. Okay, so she well. She is boggan.

And he dances with her smoothly and delights at the favor shown, 'And Pierrot." When he has his spin, he hands her over to another saying "Be careful friend, she's cunning and sharp, you may cut yourself."

The next partner whirls Zara off in a breathtaking dance as the satyrs take control of the music and revels. Merriment rings through the halls.
