The Baroness Derynwydd... Sparrow... is in her study, curled up barefoot in a papasan as she reads reports.

"Baroness. I have a surprise" Ashblthye says from the hallway "more than one. May i come in?" Cleary the girl has returned

"Ashblythe! Welcome home! Did you like seeing RIvervale?" The sidhe sets her papers aside.

In the hallway, Kerri stands behind the girl, waiting for her to go first.

And grinning as the childling sets up the reveal.

Ashblyhte says "I loved it..." And she comes in "But it's nice to be home!" No shag of hair over her face. No wide brimmed hat bent to the angle.

And no blighted visage, just a tiny scar

Kerri waits a beat after Ashblythe enters, letting her have the spotlight.

Her wings rustle in surprise, but her face is mostly contained to a widening of her eyes. "I... hello, Ashblythe. It... I trust you are well?"

"I'm great. I got to go on a quest with help." SHe turns "hearth Kerri, please come in?"

Now she follows, smiling at Sparrow before bowing her head respectfully. "Baroness."

"Kerri!" Wing-fluff and a sunshine grin, then she tries to go more formal and clears her throat. "Hearth."

"Baroness, may I propose hugs be allowed all around?" Ashblythe says QUITE formally with a curtsey

An amused grin at Ashblythe's formal proposal. "I, for one, second this notion."

"I will allow it." A gentle smile.

Ashblythe looks to Hearth Kerri, "You out rank me , ma'am, you hug her first. "

A bit of a laugh, and Kerri approaches Sparrow, offering said hug. "It is very good to see you."

She returns the hug. "Likewise! It's been a while."

"It has! You look very well, and this hold is spectacular!" She steps back to make room for Ashblythe's turn.

Ashblythe turns back and forth her dress swirling, "Notice anything new about me, Baroness?"

She opens her arms for the childling. "Yes. Your smile is brighter."

"it IS" Ashblythe plunges at Derynwydd and gets her hug

Kerri grins. Nicely done, Sparrow.

"Did Ash show you the murals she worked on? She's quite an artist..." Hugging the girl as she talks to Kerri.

"She did. She is very skilled, and so it seems are the other young artists here. All of the artwork is wonderful and welcoming. I'm glad you encouraged murals."

"I see by some of them that you are continuing your own art, as well. That's very good to see."

A little bit of a blush and a pleased smile.

"It... well, I can't complain about having the leisure to no longer fear starvation, and the freedom to pursue my art."

"And help others pursue art too. She gives classes to sons of adam and daughters of eve sometime."

"Ah! I suspect you may have nurtured some dreamers that way?"

"I hope so. I really enjoy teaching."

"Sparrow's the best" Ashblythe says "one day I shall be a lady at her court all proper and we'll have balls and galas. And I'll have a wonderful dress..." A pause "with a short sword in it so if anyone attacks her I can attack them back"

Kerri grins, then gives a serious nod. "All the best dresses should have room for weapons appropriate to the occasion."

Turning to Sparrow, she says, "Normally, I would have brought something along from Rivervale, but we came directly from the Dreaming after Ashblythe completed her quest. She was very clever, by the way."

A blush on the childling's face

"Oh, I know my Ashblythe is brave AND clever."

Brighter purple "guuuuys..."

"I am your liege. Allow me to brag."

"It's a compliment well-earned. You're allowed to take it gracefully."

A wink to Sparrow.

"Trolls are terrible about bragging."

"Yes 'ma'ams" blush remains but contrite

"We usually reserve it for special occasions."

"Now...Baroness, I'll need to be returning to Rivervale soon. I've been away for a couple of weeks, and it's time for me to get back."

"I understand that - though you can at least let me feed you before you go? I wish we had... better... trodways. The direct ones are not the most useful."

"Well, I'd hoped that, in lieu of me having something from Rivervale to offer, I might impose on your kitchen and make something here. So perhaps we shall feed each other?"

"Well, it all went screwy a month ago, that did not help" Ashblthe says "Rover Olgar says it was a pain in the patootie"

"That sounds like an excellent plan. Maybe Hope is available to make one of her fancy coffees..."

A bit of concern in her expression. "Yes, I'd heard about the trods. I...have you heard from Olgar recently?"

"Uhm not unless we met him in the dreaming and for got?"
