It seems like only yesterday, they were house hunting and meeting a new friend. But then things go back to normal ,and normal means school.

Cathir strains in her seat. She can SMELL Summer break

"And she had a CUSTOM unicorn named Star Seeker and she's MOVING here and maybe she'll go to our school?"

Cathir smiles at that, "That would be cool. I like her name too, Gloria? " Of course, many sidhe seek glory so they'd like that, "And Star Seeker is a good name too"

The two girls get away with talking in class by virtue of not being the loudest talkers, and the teacher is focusing on others as she haplessly realizes the kids are so locked on thoughts of summer break it's only four steps away from a student strike

"And the unicorn he made was all shimmery."

"Like, you know. Glowy."

Cathir whispers "You mean he's a dreamer maybe? or even.. one of us? Oh I hope her Abuelo moves here or at least visits too"

Cathir will never be humble, but she's much better at no longer expecting folks to do things just because she thinks she's right. Even Felicity says so, but not where Cathir can hear it.

"Me too. And maybe Gloria, too? She's an artist."

"You should totally muse her, sounds like she'd be happier anyway" Catir suggests then adds "If you want to"

"Kids, please get back to your worksheets" The teacher declares . Secretly she dreams of a tropical island with a glass at her hand and a masseuse at her back

"Yes Miss Hannity."

"Thank you, Irene" She says gratefully.

Most of the kids go back to the worksheets, at least until five minutes till the bell when it all breaks up again. But off to one class, than another. Search as she might ,she doesn't see Gloria. And, of course, with Summer so close, it seems the day drags.

But finally, finally, she steps out. And sees Her mom waiting for her before she can get on the bus

"Mom!" Her Mom is there! Not at work!

Irene slams into her mother with a hug.

"Hey, I know, it's weird huh?" She bends down and picks her girl up, holding her close and tight as if Irene were her whole world. "Hope it's okay I came to pick you up ?"

"Oh yeah!"

Noses are rubbed "Good. Now let's go. An adventure awaits"

and she leads her daughter to her car, Felicity is in the back

Felicity is trembling "Your mom says there's an adventure but she won't tell me what it's about" eiluned curiousity intensifies

"Ooo!"

"You girls probably have ideas" She says "Seat belts always" and when everone is in the right spot they travel on driving in a different direction than usual. Until finally they go to 'the house', there is a sign on it that says 'SOLD'

Morthwyl waves from the window of the house, THEIR house

"The rock house!"

"You bought it" Felicity bounces as they get out after parking.

"It was the BEST one."

"Well, it needs some love, but that we have" Her mother says and guides the kids in as the door opens from Morthyl's approach "Just in time. Put your things in the kitchen please. We have work in the bed rooms"

"Yeah?"

She looks around - likely a chunk of the old furniture is gone, but... the piano?

A lot of her mom's furniture, her favorite pieces, have been moved in. So has some of Morthwyls'.. but there, there is the Piano!

"Give i t a test plink" Her mom says "Then go check out your room."

Irene bounces over to hit the keys!

They're in TUNE!

Which might have been more for her mom's sanity than the kids' preference

Irene really only knows chopsticks and heart-and-soul.

Sometimes she gets close to Jingle bells

once she tests it, she goes to see her room. Plastic covers everything. But the walls... there's paint, purple. ONE wall has the unicorns from Unicorn Riders... a Julia special commision, but even there....

"You'll need to paint around those, and well, the other walls too" Her mom smiles "Need help?" she will to reach it

BIG eyes.

"Do... do you like it? She used purple..."

"It's PERFECT"

a sigh of relief, then her mom says "Good. Now, put some gloves on, grab a brush and we'll paint together around it"

"Yay!"

Time for stripes!

Mom has done this before, she knows how to keep the lines straight and clean
