"Picnic seems like a good compromise." Her mother assures them both "You girls are making us very proud. Working together like this."

"But it's okay?" Maybe a little fib.

Felicity hugs Irene , a surprise move "You're my friend. And I'm nosey anyway. If something bothers you I'd rather know about it is all. "

"But I want to be a good friend."

"You are" Felicty huffs

"Cathir's a friend too, kind of, but you shouldn't let HER have her way all the time either" The Eiluned points out

Irene blinks. "But I like getting along with everyone."

"Yeah you do" Felicity says "You're nice but you should have things nice for you too. We're friends! I like it when you like something. Remember Episode Seven when Gliterprance tried to do things for EVERYONE but none of her friends knew she was already helping the other friends so Glitter prance ended up BURIED in so many favors that it all went apart and she was all exhausted and felt bad?"

"She didn't want to let anyone down!"

"Nope, but if she had told folks about hwo she was already doing things for other friends, she'd have been much better off, and her friends wouldn't have had to throw her a party to make it up to her and show her how wonderful she is" A beat, then "Okay, she got a party out of it so maybe this isn't the best example, but Glitterprance also learned her lesson"

Perhaps ignoring episode 18, where Glitterprance had just a bit of a back slide, but the details were different

"I mean, who doesn't like parties?"

"Yeah, okay," Felcity admits then slyly adds "Picnics are KIND of like parties. "

"Oh yeah!"

"Well, let's go then" Irene's mother says "Picnic time" And she carrols them into the car. Soon, the girls are in the back, recapping the adventures of Glitterprance (And others) while Morthwyl takes orders and passes them along

Oh, of course. The grown-ups might not understand the intricacies of the overarching Unicorn Riders metaplot...

Sadly, they seem to fail to grace the nuance. On the other hand, they at least are nice enough to ask Irene if she wants her fries curled or straight!

"Shimmer Star... is that the green one?" Morthyl asks

Felicity winces and whispers "His ignorance embarrasses me"

"Grown-ups just don't understand culture."

"They so don't" She nods in agreement

The adults exchange those weird looks they get, but at soon, the food is brought, and a crown is passed back

They stop by captain hook's too, and soon a hat is passed back to Felicity

And the adults drive to a small park area with old tables for public use

Irene is wearing her crown, and feeling like a princess.

The four set down and Irene's mother mutters something bout this going to her thighs, only to have Morthwly whisper something in her ear that makes her blush and laugh at the same time

Felicyt looks around with a smile. It's a glorious day, and the light breeze carries away the greasy fishy smell

And they see another family. A mom, a dad, a teenager, and..hey, a little girl their age

Irene tries to sproing the curly fries so they dip into the ketchup and recoil into her mouth.

It is less than successful.

"Napkin" Her mother as if it was a practiced phrase (It totally is)

Felicity is disecting a hushpuppy

as if it were a steak, though the plastic utensils are iffy

"Yes Mom." Napkin dabbed.

"Hey, she's our age!"

"Hey, yeah" A munch "You think she likes Unicorn RIders?" Felicity says

"Who doesn't?"

"Only kids who don't KNOW about Uniccorn RIders" Felicity observes

"If you two finish eating, you can go say hello" Her mother says "But if they want to be alone , respect it. Okay?"

"Okay, okay."
