Way WAY BACK.... TO LIKE, LAST YEAR

Neesa , her parents, and Ganbold, wait for their saining off to the side.

"Nervous, honey?" Ross asks

"Not at all." She lies to her Dad, but with a smile, clearly a bit fidgety.

Ganbold says "Fear not, sister, perhaps you are a great Chieftess of centaurs as well?"

"Oh, I hope not!" She says with dismay, "I'd be so nervous to have so many people relying on me..."

"I think you're the only great Khan here, Ganbold" Rose assures everyone with gentle humor. She's a bit nervous too, well, eager, but she hides it well

"Well, very well" Ganbold pats his sister "We don't want you nervous." the young boy has adopted her protectively, even as eh's been liteally adopted.

She pulls the small boy in for a hug. "As long as I have my family with me, I have nothing to worry about. Maybe it's herd dynamics, but... I DO feel better around you all."

"Herd dynnamics" Rose mock fusses "We're family, mattered before the legs"

"Extra legs"

But group hugs abound

Chancellior Dubh comes out "this should be quite quick, as I'm assuming you don't want extended fuss?"

Nessa shakes her head emphatically!

"That's the point! Once we're no longer Fledges, we get less fuss about us." She says, hopefully.

"Except for me. I will be a khan after all" Ganbold says

"After all, what do we say? Be Genghis Khan, not Genghis "Khan't"." She teases.

Dubh looks amused as Ganbold fistbumps his adoptivee sister, then says "Well, in a moment, you'll hear the horns. On the third call, come on out, and the Namer will tend to you"

Nessa swallows, looking out over those gathered. There is Sparrow, giving her an encouraging nod! Irene too with a covert thumbs up. Those two make her smile, and she also seeks Dame Otha and Bix in the watchers...

Of course her mentors are there, as Seer, Otha has a particular place of import

And Sparrow as always looks radiant

Indeed, all the sidhe are there, some look like stars gathered in a watchful consellaion

Grete is there, a little bored, she is examining the tiles on the floor. They might be quartz, or limestone - eep, Irene (or perhaps Catir?) elbows her, and she straightens back up to watch politely.

The namer is a venerable old sidhe who looks delighteed to be here. Apparently when she heard that she would get to sain centaurs, it was novel to her and she asked for very little in the task for payment. Her eyes dance with pleasure and patience mixed

"Easy, Nessa. you're making me nervous" her mom says, then nods tto Sir Dubh "3 horn sounds and we come out. Thank you"

Nessa realizes she had been shifting her weight, hooves clattering, and takes a deep breath, she manages to calm. "Thank you, Sir Dubh."

"Most welcome" And he backs out

more chatter in the distance, a quieting... Sparrow gives a speech...

Ganbold looks ready to race out there on the first horn blast

Nessa looks to her parents, and nods, gently urging Ganbold to go first.

And the second... the third.. her parents nod....

and Ganbold goes out at high gallop!

"if only he had more enthusiasm" Rose says dryly

Many of the childlings whoop and cheer as their four legged friend appears

Nessa claps!

And the Namer bends down, rubbing oil o some sort on the boy's head, annointing him

then magic flows and she looks surprised, then she whispers to the boy, there are nods between them. then she says "I introduce to you Ganbold Earthshaker, Töröl Taiji of his kith"

Ganbold looks almost radiant, more aware of himself, and liking what he found inside himselff

Nessa looks to her dad, whispering "What does that mean?"

"Damned if I know honey" He admits sheepishly "Sounds mongolian or at least Asian to me. Which would fit. You're next, arren't you?"

She blinks, "You two can go first, if you want?"

"I thought we were going by age" Rose points out

"right," Her dad says "Ganbold, then you Nessa, then your slightly older mother, then me"

Rose looks amused at the 'slightly' qualifier "cheesy, but sweet"

GGeeez it's crowded out there, there's room to move but yipes!

(An aside, ALL of the centaurs have elaborated beaded and braided tails. For reasons.)

Indeed, Ganbold shinnes, naming has made his voile even grander

Nessa hesitates long enough for murmurs to have started amongst the watchers.

Horns rise up again, ready to blow her on stage

A wince, she doesn't want to draw MORE attention! She makes her way up to the Namer, bowing to the Lady Namer.
