The day after Halloween is interesting. Irene woke up, ad saw her mom enchanted. Mom had a really big smile on her face, and her voile, yes, voile, was a very comfy yet fancy robe

"....Morning Mom."

Herr mom moves with a kind of lazy happiness "Hey, how's my little elf girl" Yup. She knonws, at least when enchanted

"Good! You got glimmered!"

"oh.. yes" She says witth an odd tone adults get when they're more levles to things "Your mom got.. glimmered and then some. Don't worry, I am aware we can't talk about it around most folks. Mommy is taking the day off.I just don't want to go to work today"

Irene's eyes brighten. "Really? Can I skip school?"

"Sure, why not? I mean, if you really want to. I knnow you have friends there?"

"Yes, but YOU can SEE stuff!"

"I'll take care of you!"

"Oh.. " she smiles "Well, mom was thinking of seeing her lo...her boyfriend sometimee today. Some adult stuff" yes, that smile again "But we can hang out some then you go play when he gets here? is that okay?"

"Ohhhh. Can Felicity come, too?"

"Won' SHE be at school or are you gonnna try to get your friennds to play hooky?"

"Please?"

"You know what? Sure... as long as mom gets some time to talk to 'mlord' Morthwyl" A pleased look

"Do you remember what Morthwyl looks like? It's easy to forget Halloween."

"I remember him frrom Carnival, like a really well put together legolus, tall..."

"Okay. Sidhe can be surprising, I think. Lady Sparrow you just want to stare and stare... your fingers ITCH to take a feather..."

"Oh my yes. So pretty shhe's almost scary. Still, I guess at least one noble thinks your mom is pretty" She looks smug

"You ARE pretty."

"Thanks , honey. I feel it" She admis "A bit odd but nice"

"Can kinain BE Unseelie? Do you feel... oh... wild inside?"

"Like you had ALL the fruity pebbles?"

"yes? I.. suppose I do. " thenn a smile "ALL the pretty pebbles?"

"All!"

"Yes, I suppose I do" She admits "in fact, even thouh I know it's NOT a good breakfast, I think I want to make pancakes with all the fixings"

"I can help!" Irene says cheerfully. Her MOM is HOME and she wants to spend time.

"That's great, because I'm also feeling a wee bit lazy and am happy to put you to work" She winks then asks "This unseelie thing, is i bad?"

"Mmm... it's different?"

"It is" She admits "Now you get my bowl okay?"

"Unseelie don't like following rules. They want to make themselves happy. Sometimes they can be bad and scary..." Irene pulls over a chair to reach the high cupboard.

"The old Baron, he was Unseelie."

"Yeah, but he was an ASSHOLE" She snors, then sighs and putts a quarterr in a jar

Softly. "Yeah."

"I only heard, honey" She pulls her girl in for a hug "But if I had known..." She doesn't admit she would have shot the son of a bitch , not out loud "Well, he was a bad unseelie. I'll trhy to be a good one while this lasts. Now you mix. I'm going to call your school and ttell them you're not feeling well"

"Okay."

And she calls, and her mom LIES so easily!

But she also is nice and spoils her. Honorable or not, Irene's mom loves her girl
