"Yeah, ain't no way Harkson was ever gonna do that. He said only Sidhe should run freeholds and -" She stops, and scuffs her foot a bit. "And other things that don't matter."

Ryder snorts "Harkson was a jerknnouzle and you're nothinngg like him and that's good for us"

"Well, Lady Sparrow is nice, and she's a sidhe."

"And Lady Dio! She has, like, six hundred hats!"

"Yeah. And Sparrow brought in her own heir, and Catir's a sidhe too. She brought lots of sidhe with her." Grete admits, "She does. I don't get it. Why have so many hats? You can only ever wear one at a time."

"Caitir's nice enough. She can be bossy."

"Yeah." Grete crouches and prods at a bit of rock for a bit.

"Do you want to be heir?"

"Good thing Felicity never thinks non Eiluned are less cool" Stu smirks

Grete gives Irene a shocked look, and shakes her head quickly. "It don't matter none, she got one. Sidhe rule."

"Oh, Felicity is okay. She's just worried about looking right."

"Not everywhere, though."

"Here though." She shrugs. "Sparrow won the right to be the Baroness here. Anything else ain't worth worrying about. She's a GOOD Baroness."

"She likes you, though. Did you see how jealous Caitir got?"

Ganbold says "I hope to lead onne day, you could too" He tells grete

"Caitir's her favorite. She didn't even consider anyone here good enough to train to follow her. Even though we live here, and the land is in our blood. She just... brought another sidhe over, just like that."

"Oh..."

Grete shrugs again. "It's FINE, you know. It's her right. But it just seems like she could have asked around. You know?"

Ashlee frowns "You.. she had Cathir befoe, it's not that she 'brougght her over' just to brinng a sidhe. She knows Cathir from like.. a past life or something."

"Yeah, but WE don't know her. Sparrow fought for us and won the barony, but Caitir is just some noble kid from another court." Grete frowns, "And I said it ws fine, we don't gotta go on about it. Ain't gonna change nothing."

"But if it's not fine, maybe..." Uncertain.

Stu ponders "if only there were some way to get to know folsk who live in the same area. Some way of...communicating" A sigh "Ah well"

Ganbold looks confused at all this

"Listen, we got a good thing going here. Sparrow is a good Baroness. She's not like the others. And she'll be around a long time. So it's not worth fussing over."

"I guess?" Less certain, but not wanting a fight.

Ryder rolls his eyes, then says "Grete already has a leadership position, she's at least Wichtel Rep, because there are so few of those here. Also, she is Queen of the Lanndsharks. I mean, they act like puppies around her since she saved them"

the last seems to be partly true. the landsharks rise up under Grete, ggive her short trips and then bring her back

"Wichtels don't lead, we work for a living." She says, a bit proudly. But she can't help but laugh as the sharks swarm around a bit.

The others chuckle at the Landsharks as well.

"Okay..."

Ashlee admits "they're still scary, but also cool."

"They're not so bad when you get to know them. See, their teeth look scary, but did you know that they use them for tearing through roots in the ground that get in their way?"

"I mean, they CAN still chew you up, but as long as they're fed, they got no reason to."

"And they like rocks more than people, right?"

"We-ell... they like glamour. So they like the glamour in those special rocks we found. But we got glamour in us too. So better to keep them fed!"

"But not over fed, who wants fat sharks?" Stu says

"Fat sharks can still swim. Can fat birds fly?" She grins over at Stew. "You better watch how many of Hope's donuts you eat, or your wings will grow out just in time for you to weight too much to get off the ground."

"It's the Stewards plot to keep me grounded" He protests "I'm helpless!"

Ryder laughs

"Flying is kinda cool. You can see the entire ground spread out under you like a topol-topor... topographical map. It's not good as feet on the ground, but MUCH better than boats."

"Oh, right. Who likes boats?"

"Not me... no place to run free" Ganbold shivers

"I don't know, Boats can have some pretty furkin intriuging designs..." RRyder starts to say, then Ashlee elbows him, and he blinks and gets it "Oh yeah, Boats bad."

Irene scuffs her toe in the dirt.

"Did you want to try one of the skis, Irene? It looks like that set is pretty much put together." Peering over at Ryder's work.
