"Why would she?" The other sluagh says, "As long as no one abuses mortals ..she's Liam after all, she won't mind I suspect"

Bea TK nods "Turn it around"

"Suspect?"

"Oh, I like that too..." A little crease as she looks for the price sticker.

"For you, five dollars" Bea TK says

"Oh it must be worth more than that" Irene's mom says

"Not at all" the shop keeper assures

Wencenslais shrugs "Fine, I strongly suspect?"

"I got ten dollars for my report card." Irene shares.

Another soft grunt, and sip.

"Well, there we go then" the shopkeeper says

Irene's mother says o her daughter "if you really want it, then that's fine. After you buy it, you go out ok?"

She counts out five dollars from her prize and offers them to the clurichaun.

And she gets it, and and a 'bead necklace'

"Ooo..." She threads the pendant on the cord before tying it on. "Mom, I'm gonna look at the food truck!" Out she goes!

Wenceslaus says "if it helps, I trust her with my life"

And Irene's mother says "Can you put that stuffed animal on a lay away?" Once her daughter is out of earshot

Cliff looks at him impassively from behind his glasses. "That is saying something." after a beat.

" it is" A nod thenn "I think Irene is about to check out your wares as it were"

Irene waves at the two sluagh, but knows better than to intrude. They have iced tea - that counts, right?

"or not, polite girl" a sip

ad Wen raises his glass in recognition

An eye-crinkle that indicates a grin behind the mask, and she goes over to read the menu board.

"Excuse me?" the other sluagh asks Wen.

(Permission to tend to the customer)

A head bob "of course"

"Freshen your tea?" Cliff offers Wen.

"Surely, and my thanks"

He takes the cup and goes back into the truck. Shortly the windows open up again, and he sets a fresh cup of tea on the back steps for his kithmate before flipping the switch to light the 'order ready' sign and coming to the window. He nods at Irene.

"Hello! I don't remember you, are you new? I'm Irene! What's fry bread?"

"Not new." it's hard to hear him over the exhaust fans, but he tries "Hello. It's native food; fried dough. Most people like it."

"Is it sweet? I have five dollars."

"Not sweet. Have a berry chia pudding that is."

"Okay, could I have a pudding please? Do you live in town?"

He nods acknowledgement of her order and then shakes his head; he doesn't live in town. Then he turns and dishes up pudding in a paper bowl, topping it with a drizzle of honey.

Serves.

"Thank you! Are you visiting Wenceslas?"

"I'm visiting him" Wenceslas whispers as clearly as one can whisper

The stranger wipes his hands on a towel and nods agreement.

"Do you have... you know... food in the truck?" Curious.

Another nod; he does have food in the truck.

"That's cool." She sniffs the pudding.

She pops off her mask so she can try it. "We have a lot of sluagh here. Miss Chalknails, she's the scariest substitute teacher."

The cook nods. "Seen her around."

"No childlings, though."

"Least none that I know."
