The baroness finds an area were folks are just.. selling things. Like.. in this case, used books

In a book fortress, a fortress made of hardbacks, sits Stew. He is clutching a Jules Verne novel to his chest, but also has three other books in his lap

"he says he won't come out... EVER" the used book boggan says

"Mm. How much, in bulk?"

"uhm..well ah.. " Startled, and he names a fair price, after all, BULK is bulk

And he adds "And I'll even help move them to any room you like. I mean, the boy clearly loves books."

"And I will be frank, the previous regime left a fairly pathetic selection of books."

"Stuart? Are you willing to be responsible for these?"

"Till death do us part" He says eyes brimming with hope

"Oh that's monstrous, no wonder the lad is in withdrawal" The boggan, who apparently goes by the name Booker (go fig) says growing more sympathetic as he hears of the lack of novels

"If there are duplicates, Stew, you must promise to share them and find them good homes."

He nods "Of course, we Librowarriors of the Order of the Sacred Nook are sworn to open the worlds others do not know exist"

"Alright then." A nod to the pooka and she looks at the boggan. "Clarence keeps the books, he will cut you a check."

"I'll see him after the party" Booker assures with a bow

"Wonderful! Please make sure you take refreshments and enjoy the evening!"

"Stu, the books are safe, if you want to come out?"

Sheepishly, he eases out "You're going to make me talk to people again aren't you?"

"Well, Grete and Ashlee are people..."

"How can they be? I enjoy their company" he says but smiles as he comes out fully

"Tomorrow, you will be getting these into the library. They may stay tonight."

She gets hugged by the floof boy "You are my FAVORITE honorary owl"

"Well... well, I'm glad you like them. But they will be your responsibility..."

"I will love them and hug them and feed them and read them" He assures

"Alright!" A smile.

The pooka nods "Time to get my share from that guy for making a sale" A pause "He MIGHT Not have a sense of humor about that though?"

"He might not, fair warning."

"It's almost like you're looking out for us" he says and smiles then says "You should totally NOT enjoy some of the great food and fun stuff. "

"Oh, I will go eat. Yes."

She finds herself in a buffet line

next to the chancclier "Did hope get you or was it someone else?"

Dubh asks

"Get me?"

"I was told I was skin and bones and shoved into the food line. I think it's safe to say SOME of the folk here are over their fear of sidhe"

"That's a good thing. And no - it was Stu."

"the little floofer is a bit of a den mother now and then himself"

"Well, yes."

Snitch is talking of his adventures "There I was... leaning out of the car , my friend trapped on a hood of another. Why I took my trusty glaive fleatbiter, and ..."

THe food put on her plate is. Yikes, she blinked and the local cooks piled on her plate, all sorts of things

"Oh... oh, that's quite... a lot..."

"You should have kept your guard up, Baroneess. " he says

Then karma strikes and while Dubh fusses at her keeping her guard up , he drops his own and.. suddenly has a steak you could club a man to death with dropped on his plate along with two cupcakes and a baked potato

"Well, I say we find a seat and tackle this. That sauce smells smoky..."

"Yes yes, let's sit before they bury us alive" He says mildly alarmed

"It seems to be going well. Though I won't relax until the Brands come..."

"Part of me still feels a bit unofficial. Derynwydd the Usurper."

"You won in combat, that is, violent but also legitimate. Further , you didn't come to conquer, and you know it. you came to liberate"

"Right... but the Count is still a mystery."

A pause "you don't think he'll come here tonight? He has his own hold I'm sure"
