and large baked potatoes given the works!

Sparrow fusses over how good the food looks, and toasts. "To new friends."

And the others agree and chime in

"And why can't I have wine?" Catir sighs

"For the same reason I'm not allowed to snatch candy canes off yule trees" Dubh says "It's not age appropriate"

"You can have that sparkly stuff... it's still tasty."

"Well, yes"

Otha admits "When I was a childling I was much the same."

"Caitir is gifted with Primal. She might enjoy some trips out to the wild places."

"I hunted in my past exisistence" Catir says "And healed. Emma helped me regain some skills"

"Emma is a gentle soul. But yes, you did hunt. And it would do you good to get out and see the woods."

"Well then, it seems Catir and I have something in common, we both enjoy the woods and hunting" Otha says

Brynn asks "Are there no other Liam here, Baroness?"

"Not yet. That may change - few of us are landed."

"Brynn thinks Gwydions are obliged to protect your house ...something about loyal allies and 'still sidhe'" Bryndann says "I tend to expect that must annoy Liam after a time. However well intentioned"

"Well... Gwydions take honor and duty very seriously."

"He's just egging me on. Ignore him. I do" Brynn replies with a smile

Yet one doesn't have to be a boggan to see the brother affection

Catir sniffs "Male bonding is weird"

THAT gets wide smiles from the men "The feeling..."

"..is mutual" the other agrees

Then Siv comes in "Baroness? Begging your pardon, but I should go. I need to get home. "

The boggan, Hope raises a brow as her senses atingle

and Sparrow, while no boggan, knows the signs. Siv is on the edge of a Fiona Freak out

"is she all right? " Both twins say at the same time. Sure, Siv mislead them, but they are not, it seemsm heartless

"Fiona. And that satyress is one of her beloveds. The heart seems to have made a call."

"It really cripples them at times"Byrdann says

"It can. But love and passion both may be demanding rulers."

"Well, Love will never be mine" The Dairaenn raises a glass

"Oh, you might be tempting da'an, Byrdann." She still toasts him back.

"I was thinking the same" Otha nods

And Sparrow feels the hold seem to..agree? or maybe that was her imagination

A quizzical look, and she mentally reaches for the Fire. It is still a new thing, but it is growing to be familiar - a presence flickering near her heart, an emerald warmth, a harbor...

And it's growing to know her... she's …different the other one before her was a sucking vortex of greed, whose grasping eddies had barbs thta cut even as they took.. the new holder.. her, she is..so very different. She could not be more different

A soothing thought. She will defend this flame, and share it. The wordless joy of seeing another find solace, the desire to create haven - home, for one who had wandered homeless.
