August smiles softly, watching his ladies discuss.

"Ah... Caitir... followed me here."

Coradel smiles. "We know."

"I...was not going to ask yet, but...you wish to relinquish your claim as heir?" She doesn't sound offended.

"I think that might be wise. I cannot hold this fire, and claim inheritance on another..."

"The most obvious heir, of course, if August..."

A smile. "You're correct, of course. And yet we still need a Regent. I'm thinking of asking Bachdion to do the job permanently if Magnus is not interested. Unless you see any reason not to?"

"I don't. Bachdion is a dear, and would be able to do it. Though likely less interested in handling doomsday reports than I."

August looks troubled at the talk that suggests he might be heir to EarthRunes.... but he covers it, and genuinely enjoys the tour.
