The lake is booming, not with explosives, which the Narrator must clarify in an area with nockers and pooka in it, but with activity. At one end , there's a family gathering at one end with kids for a barbeque. There's some teen girls flirting with some guys as they swim trying to evade the heat. And yet, there are sections apparently veiled for changeling use... and here the Chimera can go for a bit more privacy. Such the Chimerical Sea Horse that one can actually ride. The fact it is in fresh water troubles it not at all. There is also a sword rising out of the water... "Don't touch that," Layne Warns, "That's that how the monster tries to eat you. IT can only eat you if you grab the sword though, that's the rules." Then she smiles "And there's my favorite." A foot tall woman made of water herself moves like a figure skater on water which to her is solid when she needs it to be. Rainbows come through her translucent form on the opposing side of the sun.
