"I'm going to destroy you, Hammerstrike!" Her foe lowers her visor and charges forward

Dagmar lowers her own, and the joust club practice is on!

"You're welcome to try!" She laughs.

The pass is solid, each lance breaking, and Lavender laughs back "Well, you DESERVE to be destroyed, you jerk! I'm building up Joust Club in my area, training hard personally to best you and you're heading to Alaska?"

She pushes her visor up. "It's my duty."

"It's not a vacation."

"Oh trolls" She teases lightly "It can be BOTH you know? And don't mind me, I'm just gonna miss our meets"

"Same. For real."

"Maybe you'll find some jousters up in Alaska? Though I imagine up there they ride giant huskies"

"There should be horses? I dunno. It's a Gwydion hold."

"Ick, falcon cooties"

Dee chuckles "Remember who I work for. I have to tease a little. " A pause, a thought then "Hey, besides your liege, and I guess Tiara who is affiliated, you don't interact much with other Gwydions do you?"

A brief, tiny frown and a shrug. "Not really."

"I mean, I'm an Ailil Affilate, but besides the Baron I don't deal with many Ailil. A whole hold full of Silver Dragons would be a lot. You stressed about meeting a lot of golden falcons?"

A little twitch at the corner of her mouth and another shrug, not looking the satyr in the eye.

"I've met Count Hemlock, too. And he's Chief's liege. So. Like, it's a line?"

"Yeah," Lavender nods "Gets tricky sometime. So, want to talk about it? or try to knock my block off? Or maybe just ride a trail together?"

"Riding, maybe."

Lances are put away and they ride the trail "See, for JERSEY this is gorgeous"

"This is nice for anywhere. People bag on Jersey too much."

"They do, but without that, how would we New York staters feel superior?" She points out good naturedly

A chuckle. "I suppose you need something."

"HA!" A grin Then she says "Okay, cold aside i have seen some pictures of Alaskan wilderness and I definitely want you to send me some selfies with that in the back drop, okay?"

"I'll try to take good pictures. I have a cool treasure that'll capture chimerical stuff, too. Can only do a few until it has to recharge, but I bet there'll be somethin' worth saving that way."

"You'll know it when you see it" She agrees as they move on the trail "Just don't be surprised when you get back if Silverwolf doesn't have more competitors to throw against you. Mavis is shaping up "

"Oh yeah?"

"The fledge is good. I think some of her lacrosse training is mixing with a past life, but hard to tell."

"It can do that."

"I don't get too much of that. It was harder when I was a fledge, actually. Without your name, you aren't as sure where you end, y'know?"

"Gets muddled if your remembrance is strong but you don't have the name yeah" A nod "I've never been that strong in past lives myself. Though I suspect I had a past life as a horse thief." She makes a shhh motion "Don't tell anyone."

A startled look, then a wry smirk, "Wow, you really are competitive"

"There was a ballad. Bonnie Blue, brave and true, stole from the rich for me and you."

"Okay, that's supercool" She admits "And i love the mental image of a troll robin hood style outlaw"

"I actually don't know when or how I became a Gwydion, for all that I remember a good number of lives."

"Guess I did something. Just...." A shrug.

"That IS a mystery" She admits "OHH Oh, speaking of Ballads! I'm off the hook!"

"Oh?"

"Well, for the longest time, SIlverwolf couldn't hold onto a troubadour? So I , being a satyr, who could play a little, got the job of musician for some events even though it is NOT my passion? Well, this KID walks into town, with a year old 'Troubadour audition' ad... for the job! He's like 9, tops! And Thistle went to pick him up for Danica... and the Baron? NOT thrilled... but they give him a chance"

"Yeah? Kids can be pretty impressive. Childlings aren't the same, y'know?"

"Definitely not, Noínín has amazing chops! He's hired, at least probationary. He's much better at 9 than I'll ever be and forgive me for being selfish, but it's a relief. Ever have an authority figure try to make you something you're not, or at least, something that you're not fufilled by?"

"Yeah."

"Not here, but yeah."

She nods "It was like that for me. But this little Clurichaun is a life saver already. So I feel... you know, like i can be ME in my duty, not someone else in another duty. We're even having a celebration .. I might accompany some but he's the main source of the music"

"Less pressure, sure."

"Can do what you enjoy, and not just out of obligation."

"We satyrs need passion " She agrees, then says "Oh, hey, pardon, supportive friend time. How's it going with your boyfriend and you? Still get smiles and bright eyes?"
