As Symon kisses Dagmar's cheek, while she is flush in victory wearing his token, the Dreaming makes its own favor know, for a wonderful crazy moment, the sounds of others seem to dim to both of them, and the world seems delightfully cozy and small as if it was just made for the two of them to enjoy! Siv whoops loudly at the kiss as much as the victory, for she is a Fiona.

Gauntleted fingertips brush lightly against Symon's cheek before the Knight pulls away - there is yet jousting ahead!

As for Nadeen, she is about to answer the Chief, then grows wistful at the kiss, and mutters in a whisper lost to crowds "Of course he wiggled his way to getting her. The Denier he is still in some ways. He best treat her right"

"I agree," says Kerri. "I also have no doubt that he will."

"She'll treat him right, as well. They both deserve it."

"I'll trust you to see to that" Nadeen says in that cool way Varich have when they guard their empty hearts from filling. She nods "And I'll consider talking to Aiden. An apprentice Jouster to train might be better than a rival to our Lavender. Have you chosen the winners for food judgement? " She has someone to root for there as well

"I have. Your hold, as always, presents some excellent competitors in many contests." A smug grin, as she doesn't answer the underlying question.

Nadeen's eyes sparkle at recognition of the evasion, and respect for it "Yes, we do." Proudly, "Good that that is recognized"

The Jousting is, save for some junior competion and demonstrations, over

"Of course. And naturally, SilverWolf benefits from having received one of Rivervale's successes." A nod towards Nadeen, and then a wink.

Nadeen chuckles at that "For a time I thought your predecessor just didn't like me"

On the FIELD, the Loser... that is Dee, now dismounted, approaches the victor with an outstretched hand, "Dammit, I thought I had you"

"For a second, so did I." She takes the satyr's hand, grinning.

Kerri looks skyward for a moment, considering Nadeen's statement. "I think she was...cautious of you, to some extent. But she didn't dislike you."

The hand shake transitions into a back pat, and Dee makes it brief but can't help herself, grinning back "Well, I understand there's a small prize for second place so that should appease the lieges. Buy you a drink later? Dr. Pepper right?"

Nadeen admits "All the more infuriating really, had she disliked me I might have at least cast myself in the role of the villainess to accomidate my need for attention. But yes, much of what I am is because of her fine guidance and gentle challenges... and yours as well. I shant apologize for trying to have mine triumph over you though, is that not the goal of the young?"

The stands are clearing out, and Sylvi has come to the edge of the jousting ring. "That was excellent!" she declares to Dagmar and Dee.

"It was a good match. Good opponent. I mean - Joust Club."

Kerri chuckles. "I'd be worried about you if you didn't, Nadeen."

"Joust Club turns out winners," Sylvi agrees with Dagmar.

"Thanks, Sylvi," Dee grins "Yeah, Joust Club does. Tara wasn't bad either!"

"I didn't see everybody," Sylvi admits, "but what I did see was impressive." Her expression gets a little bit somber. "Oh...some stuff went on, Dagmar. We can talk about it later, though."

"Stuff?" Brow quirk. "Is everyone safe?"

Nadeen smiles at Kerri, "So would I. " More seriously "You have opportunities here, this pennons. Don't squander them. I have suggestions if they not offend"

"Yup, it's all taken care of," Sylvi assures her, and it pings true.

A blink. "Opportunities?" Kerri looks around at the celebrations that are beginning to reach their waning hours. "Please, share, yes."

"Okay. I suppose I need to talk to your Mom about horses."

"Dee kept her seat, so there's that. Though I might be owed a SIlverwolf mount for sending Tara ass over teakettle."

"You actually going to take the horse?" Sylvi asks, surprised.

"You will want a horse of fine quality that you can breed or stud as case maybe , and offer it's services not just to Silverwolf but others. This will give you a foot in the trade. Engage with the nobles in advice for stewards and cooks, thehy will seek you out, thsi will let you have influence in their courts vicariously and create commoners who will be indebted for bettering thier stations" Nadeen says

"Stormwake is off to Alaska."

"Of course she's gonna tkae the horse" Dee says "It's almost a waste not to. Those are FAE steeds, and they must continue" A beat "Also worth a lot"

"Oh. That's right. And Star will need a companion." Sylvi nods. "Makes sense."

"Spark and Connor have been training. Star's too good a mare to just... I dunno." She shrugs.

"Just...?" Sylvi gives her a curious look.

Star agrees, she is too good...nay great, a mare

"She's smarter than a regular horse. But just the one foal? I dunno." She blushes.

Sylvi grins. "Oh, yeah. She's still got some wild oats to sow. Huh...wonder if the DeBukes have a stud to loan?"

"Always, and some of them are even horses" Dee says drily

"Oh, I've gotta get back and relieve Gerd at the face painting. We'll catch up later!" And with a wave, Sylvi's jogging off across the fairgrounds.
