"I was just wonderin'... that old sidhe said YOU put a whammy on the lance for that troll joust. Did you do that? Seems kinda sneaky like. Now my friend Briar, she says there's no use sneakin' when you can just punch someone." He looks thoughtful.

"Oh, the Iocaine gas" she looks thoughtful "I helped put it on cause he told me to. If i didn't, he'd have dictumed me to. " She sighs "You can hate me if you want. I didn't like it but I don't like being dictumed either. He heard how strong Dagmar was and wanted 'an edge'. I don't understand it myyself. If yhou want an edge then why not get three to one odds instead?"

Connor's ears went back a bit at the admission, but he recovers quickly and gives a wag of his tail. "Dagmar IS the strongest." He says, agreeing. "That's why they call her Dagmighty."

"If you didn't hafta stay with Lord Limpwand, would you go back to your Corby? Or what would you do?"

"To Double Hockey sticks with my Corby, they suck" Suck seems to be a go to word for Swill, "I would..." Her brow knits "I would.. uhm.." A frown "I don't know. I mean, not like I got a place to go"

Then she ponders "Maybe I would find a tall building REALLY Tall, then, then I would put a ladder on that building so it was taller, then another one... so many ladders, until I could read the moon! Then.. then I could eat the moon! And it would taste the best ever!"

She sighs wistfully. Few will ever know what it is like to be hungry ALL the time, but if anything could fill a redcap, maybe it would be the moon.

"The moon IS made of cheese." He says. "Buck up, things may not be so bad. Er, maybe put that collar back on for pretendsies so no one thinks you're a troublemaker. We wouldn't want that. After all, all's swilla that ends well-a. " With that, he sneaks out.

Connor ponders for a time, long enough that his belly rumbles. "Quiet, you." Then, he digs into a pocket and finds a shiny penny. "Bottoms up?" He asks it, and flips.

"Oh, phooey." He stares at the coin.

Then, into the crowd he goes!

"I... huh?" The girl blinks "Lord HOwling ton? I wasn't gonna eat you:"

"Drat, he's gone" She slumps and eyes the bar hungrily. She supposes she'd get in trouble if she ate those

Connor has a lot to see or do, duties with his knight chief among them

And the next Announcement is made... 'Replacing Sir Kolfax Direwand ap Balor in this slot, is Dame Tara of Caer Falken! As Dame Tara is a centaur and cannot be dismounted, the opposing challenger, Dame Dagmar ap Gwydion may request to start one point ahead"

Dagmar grunts and shakes her head.

the crowds seem to like that and Cheer. Tara smiles and gives the Joust Club salute

Even as she prepares,

Connor has returned and is prepping HIS knight for the next ride against Tara

Dagmar is beaming with happiness, trusting Connor completely.

And then, it's time for the match. The horns sound, and the flags drop!

The two charge towards each other, Dagmar's pacing is spot on where Tara mis times, but when they connect, they trade blows ... Tara's is more center 'the better shot'... as it were, but even glancing shot from Dagmar makes Tara's shield ring. THe first pass done, they ready for the second

A salute between passes, and she readies the second.

The salute is returned, and the second round begins. This time Tara breaks into a full and sure footed charge, lance straight and true.

Dagmar has fought Tara before - she's taller, heavier, so she crouches a bit to knock the centaur under her guard.

The tactic works beautifully, catching the centaur under the shield and square on the armor. While you can't dismount a centauress, you can throw her off her footing... and as Dagmar rides by it FLIPS the Centaur and she falls, with a grunt of pain, but Tara says with admiration "Beautiful shot, wish I'd done it instead"

A grin. "Think that counts as a dismount? Maybe we proved you don't need to be handicapped."

She grins at that, "Might be harder for non trolls, but agreed. You still don't get my horse though"

"Victory to Dame Dagmar Hammerstrike, Bolt of the Storm of RIVERVALE!" The crowd cheers

"You good? Need the healers?"

"Bruises heal" She says getting up "Save the healers for those that need it, and congratulations" She lifts Dagmar's hand to the cheers

"Thanks"

And there's a gasp from the crowd as the OTHER joust gets a surprise.... Doomwind nearly knocked from HER saddle... by the underdog, and the points favor the satyress "Winner, Dame Lavender De'Lorean of Silverwolf!"

"Oh, wow! Go Dee!"

Dee grins and calls out "SILVERWOLF ARROO!" from the stands, others from the hold AROO too

We switch for a moment to Thistle... she's got judges coming by to judge her art!

"This was so dumb." Her spirals have shifted to yellow. Why did she think this would be a good idea?

Madern snorts "You got this... look, 'I' have to win over Hearth now Chief KERRI furking King... if she doesnt like my Peanut Butter Pretzel Pie I'm screwed, but do you see ME panicking, do you?"

Nevermind he's been chewing on his apron

"Yeah, 'cept you Peanut Butter Pie ain't drek."

"NEITHER of you guys make drek" Gwen says "Now the beatings will begin if Morale doesn't improve" She pauses "Sorry, feeling a bit unseelie"

The Dougal gent , a sidhe who leans on a cane, walks by. Master Dugald ap Dougal, one of the greatest architects ever known, does know art.

"What do we have here," Dugald inquires looking over the Silverwolf display , not the food side either
