((dammit...and yet somehow fitting))

Sylvi looks over at Dagmar, then takes a breath and follows Lovecraft through the door, moving directly to the side and hugging the wall once she's through, giving Dagmar room to enter if she wishes.

Dagmar forges in, unmissable, looking every inch the paladin.

Certainly the more likely to draw attention, at least.

Sylvi hears muffled noises.

Once inside, Sylvi quietly lowers herself until she can put the (previously opened) can of sardines on the floor. Lovecraft's done her job, and Sylvi needs both hands free. Then she stands again, hoping her eyes will adjust to the dark.

Dagmar can make out, yes, that's Cairrean's voice, and she is UPSET! "You have GOT to be kidding me... I mean..." Tone turns to a softer, sweet one. "Come on now. You don't really think I'd do anything like that." Reasoning.

A frown and she stills, trying to listen

Dagmar hears "You're a smart guy. Reasonable. You know I'd never do anything to hurt you. Remember what we had? Scare-bear?"
Dagmar feels glamour, it is now familiar to her, the same that she feels yet buzzing in her veins from her Aphrodesia high that has yet to be burned off.

"Oh, FUCK YOU, Karen!"

"Is someone there? HELP!" Suddenly her voice raises, and then cuts off.

Sylvi feels glamour, but she may not recognize the flavor. Feels like a cantrip being built.

Dagmar storms towards the voice

Sylvi startles slightly at Dagmar's eruption, but the cantrip is the more immediate problem. She's about to move forward, but ends up following in Dagmar's wake.

Dagmar might walk into a wall.

She mutters and kicks on her phone flashlight

The added light gives Sylvi a little more of a view of the room. She know she can't hide from Symon, so she doesn't try, but she does try to move a bit away and flanking. She takes her phone out, ready to add another light, but still dark for now.

That's better! She finds herself in a store room of sorts. It smells sweet! Boxes and crates of hot cocoa mix, shelf-stable ingredients, there's a few propane tanks to power the ovens and torches for marshmallow brulee, a stack of smocks and a box of nametags...

Oh, wait, she was looking for the people.

Dagmar is a few steps ahead of Sylvi, and turns the corner first.
Symon is there, with Cairrean cornered in front of him, looking frightened. He is holding onto her collar, which is twisted to constrict at the neck, cutting into her airway a bit, and was speaking to her from very close.

When Dagmar's light flicks on, several things happen at once!

Symon is startled and turns, blinking at the sudden light. "...Dagmar?"
Dagmar sees Symon

...and Cairrean vanishes, right out of Symon's grasp!

AND

As Sylvi turns on her light, she sees Cairrean pop into view right next to her, and start to beeline for the exit!

"Sy. C'mon, we need to get home, okay?" She extends her hand.

Sylvi quickly reaches out. "Tangle and wrangle, you do not leave!" And her Spring arts erupt into a net of vines around Cairrean. ((If the roll goes well, that is...))

(Sylvi is also close enough to just grab her - but yes!)

(Yes, but it's a thing. Also, the vines stay.)

His hands, which were just around a neck, convulse reflexively and close on... nothing. "No!" He hisses, in despair. "I need to finish this! She cannot get away!"

His eyes roll as he searches the room.

"Got her," Sylvi calls out, circling Cairrean to make sure the vines make a complete and secure net.

"Sy, take my hand, please." She keeps her hand out, palm up.

Dagmar stays crouched, hand extended. Her face is carefully stoic, trying to keep her fear and worry out of her expression.

Cairrean is well and truly entwined, and Sylvi, as a healer, cannot help but notice the darkening marks of fingers around her neck.

And as such, it is reasonable to infer that Sylvi may, in fact, be looking at her. After all, there's nothing else more pressing at the moment.

Symon looks up at Dagmar, his hands still clutching at the air. "I had her, and we were going to be free."

"Sylvi, she can only pop off if you look away. Keep eyes on her."

Sylvi calls back, "Good to know, thanks!"

"Free how, Sy? C'mon, please..." She extends a second hand

She frowns at the bruise marks. How bad do they look? Does there seem to be damage beyond bruising?

Sylvi - she's in no danger now, but it definitely looks like she was being throttled. Her voice is a bit of a croak as she curses and demands, begs and barters to be let free.

"It's in my head... I can't sleep, I can't eat, you're all I can think about. She did this. I know that now. And it's hurting you. It's hurting us." He looks up, and turns towards where he hears Sylvi's voice.

Dagmar is very still, the same stillness that works on coaxing feral cats and spooked horses.

"Shut up," Sylvi says to Cairrean, but there's no glamour behind it to enforce it. She mutters, "Looks like you've got your own necklace, now."

"We'll fix it. I know you're hurt, but we'll fix it. Hurting her won't make it better. I don't want you to hurt her, even though I know I'm angry about the situation."

"Oh, but it will. We can make the magic stop." There is a gleam in his eyes, an irrational, manic look. "We can make her stop. Stop her for good. I can do it. For you, I can do anything. For us."
